The really good thing I like about the demo is you don't feel cheated, like if the CPU made your team mess up on there coverage so they can get a easy TD.

Last game I was down 14-7 I had 5 yards to go for a score, so I run a option but I didn't get the pitch off in time an the linebacker hit me an I fumbled losing the game. But again I didn't feel cheated as it was my fault.

My impressions:

O-Line is sick, but they aren't overpowering. They can be beat by the D.

The movement. wow, wow...WOW. they move so fluid now. i can't wait til the full game, and further releases. (ncaa 12, 13, etc)

Presentation is sick than the plague.

play calling is new and improved in my book.

Canned animations are still around. don't like it, but we all knew they'd be back for at least one more year.

If you think you can go the old way and stop the run with a zone D and not playing D, then I feel very sorry for you.

Kind of seems like the kickoff coverage needs to be tweaked. Seems a little too easy to get to the 30 and beyond.

Hey, draw play, nice to see you, homie. We never see you come around here.

Read Option is great if run right.

The no-huddle style is as good as they said it would be.

It is a little easy to get to the outside with RBs on run plays.

About the play calling...some will struggle (like myself early) with the overall picking of the plays and wondering where some plays are.

And no more than 2 plays later, Jacory Harris throws another interception, this one returned a 100 yards for a TD.

Slow is where locomotion will be at it's best. At least that's my prediction.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

Just played my first two games. As Miami @ OSU and as Mizzou at Clemson.

The Miami game was awesome and in perfect weather. I had a good drive to start the game off, but it lost gas near the 35 and I had to settle for a punt. Ohio State drove on me, but I eventually stopped them before they got in striking range. Both of us had some unsuccessful drives then I called a deap pass. My slot was running a deep post while the outside WR was running a streak towards the sideline. I watched the safety, he followed the outside WR, so I threw it deep to my slot and.... the old EA is gone! The safety couldn't recover and I got an easy 40 yard TD pass. OSU then drove down the field to tie it. We went back and forth some more, but no one scored. Then finally in the 4th they scored with under a minute left. I started getting a little nervous.

I started my 4th quarter drive and it didn't start hot. Two plays for zero yards. Then on third down they came out like they were going to cover the deep ball, but when I hiked it I saw the DB and LB from my right blitz, so I threw it to my WR for a 70 yard TD with 5 seconds left. I hit the PA and to OT we went. In OT i won the coin toss and elected to be on defense first. OSU took 7 plays and scored on me. I got the ball, got 3 yards on a run, then an incomplete pass. So on 3rd and 7 I made a big mistake and went for the tie instead of the first down, it cost me as I threw a pick to lose the game.

The Missouri game was really different. It was raining pretty hard. I got the ball first and didn't get but one first down then punted. Clemson got the ball and drove on me with ease to go up 7-0. Then on the kickoff I fumbled and they had another easy time scoring on me. I continued to struggle on offense and we went into half time at 21-0.

Throughout the 3rd nothing much happened. We got in the 4th and I was determined to make a 21 point comeback. I had the ball to start the 4th and finally had something as I drove down the field and scored with a minute and a half remaining. On to the onside kick. I took my time, aimed it, kicked it and it did the opposite of what I wanted it. It stayed flat on the ground with no big bounce. Luckily the rain stopped them from recovering the ball and I ended up getting it. I still had my momentum and drove down to the 30. I called a pass play, watched the safety and through to my slot WR. He caught it at the five, took a few steps, then the safety hammered him and he fumbled and Clemson recovered. I then on defense called a heavy blitz. The risk worked too as I manually caused a fumble and recovered it for the TD.

I then kicked the next onside kick differently and it went out of bounds, they got the ball and I lost.

I love the game though, I may just go to the midnight release. Something I have only done for one other game, GTA IV.

Granted I only played one game, but this is how I feel too. Even when I was engaged, I was able to peel off with the higher rated defenders and generate some pressure. When I was able to get a sack, I definitely had a satisfied feeling as if I had earned it.
