It really is a shame.

I think I'll get NCAA 11, cause I've never had an NCAA game before (FB or Hoops). So I'm kind of excited about getting NCAA 11.
Im cool with your opinion bucky but you just totally disregarded my point about not buying Madden would do little to change anything,IMO.Im all for a cause I believe can make a difference in the long run but boycotting Madden doesnt seem like it can,IMO.Im not discouraging anyone from trying if they feel differently but dont carry me like Im just part of the problem or something.Im always down for a worthy cause,so if you can explain to me how boycotting Madden 11 can make a difference,Im with it!

It's honorable,no matter the outcome,to sacrifice for an achievable goal but to sacrifice in vain is folly,IMO.

Of course online franchise was not very popular. It was a complete joke; really it was just a lame mutiple season league.

I really though Ian and Co. had it going in the right direction but this is the 6th year on these platforms and it is total BS franchise/online franchise is a joke. Look at Franchise in the show. By now we should have a working IR, practice squad, dynamic free agency and a host of other things.
It's alright man, just wait until next year, and then the year after that, and then the year after that.....seriously though....the year after that WILL be better............................................ .....................yea, but seriously, I think the year AFTER that, WILL be better.........no seriously though, just wait.............................................. ................IT WILL BE BETTER...........just wait.

Ideas for Online Franchise Mode

1. Allow us to create leagues with less than 32 teams. I hate that if I have 16 human players in a league that the remaining teams will be computer controlled teams. Take a page from 2K5 and allow us to create leagues with only human controlled teams, hence an 8, 16, 24, or 32 team league. If I want to play the computer I would play offline franchiese.

2. Give commissioner of the league the ability to create and update league schedules especially if my first suggestion is implemented.

3. Allow commissioner of a league to determine winner if game is not played. I don't want this to be random. The commish should have the right to determine the winner.

4. Fix the playoff tie-breaker criteria. Alphabetical just doesn't cut it. Mimic the NFL playoff tie-breaker rules.

5. I loved the drafts in M10, however, if potentials were random it would make the experience much more authentic. After playing 1 season it was widely known who were the rookies with A and B potentials and which rookies to avoid. If you make the players random or the potentials random that would add to the drafting experience.

6. If suggestion 5 is implemented, add the ability to scout up-coming rookies before the draft. Something similar to offline franchise mode.

7. Finally, just give the commissioner more control. I would like to see more options available when viewing the franchiese via the web. Give us the ability to update schedules, determine winners and deeper stats via the web for online franchises.

Borrow Dynamic Weather from Tiger Woods PGA. And after it rains the field should be nice and wet even if the sun comes back out.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Blog: E3 Feature Announcement and Career Modes Update

It kinda all makes sense.

Great Madden we have all been waiting for Madden '12

2013 NFL License is officially and EA will have a very difficult time renewing the license after that last court ruling, which means major competition in 2013.

And I'll mention again, i think its real smart what EA is doing here, love the honesty--and call me crazy, but I actually see hope in this decision they've made....why keep on rushing an unfinished product...

I don't play franchise mode too much, but it makes sense to me.

yeah I wouldn't put it past those suits at EA to be pulling funding from the next few years of the game to save up and try and buy another deal

Wow! Talk about a total buzzkill, after reading that blog. Why do I have a feeling I'll be playing NCAA more then Madden this year.

Saying that, because offline franchise was so God awful in Madden 10 imo, I spent most of my time playing online franchise. So two things need to be vastly upgraded;

Online Franchise - They mentioned that they spent a lot of time improveing the online portion of the game, so I have my hopes that this recieved a much improved overhaul.

Gameplay - Well, they did say the reason they did not focus much time and energy on (offline) franchise mode was so they could improve the core gameplay. Well if you ignored franchise mode, gameplay BETTER be 10x better then in previous Maddens. Hopefully there are still some "Little" things that they have added to offline franchise mode that they haven't mentioned yet, that will be a big deal to a lot of people, such as IR working as it's supose to.
