I'm just wondering why footage was even shown when the meats and potatoes of the game are still very incomplete(or like you said, not even shown in this video) and show very minimal differences compared to last year. What else were we supposed to comment on when the control hasn't been put in our hands, ya know?

Don't take that above comment as a slight towards you...Its not. But it's just a weird way to show off the game...A defense video with no attributes added? Just odd.
I'm not taking it as a slight at all. The point that you're raising is completely valid. While the meat and potatoes have yet to be added, understanding the vision where we want to take the game is important for everyone to understand. As we show you more of the game in the coming months you will begin to understand the direction that the development team are taking the game as well you will see more of the changes that have gone into ELITE compared to last year.

Regarding the presser, I haven't seen it myself so I can't tell you what to expect. Regarding ELITE, there will be producer presence there so they should explain what the status of the game is and what they're looking to do.

Name change and propaganda? Hm....
Wang never specifically clarified why he left and we don't know if that is really the reason. People who I trust here who have played Elite have said that the game is as sim as 10. We should try to avoid assumptions if possible and give these guys a break and some time to show us a more complete product closer to Oct. 5th.

i love the idea of the new shot stick mechanic, but i'm terrified of running into experts who can knock down 3's with Shaq

how does it work with fadeaways? does the timing mechanism change to reflect the new timing?
