I think you either didn't understand my point or something else happened along the way... LOL In your first post you mentioned the R&S using a lot of motion and that the Air Raid could always implement that... I responded by saying that JJ doesn't run motion anymore. Hawaii still runs the R&S and things may be slightly different w/ out JJ there, but they don't motion either.

The reason I brought JJ into it is because he is responsible for the R&S still being active at the college level. I don't know who else, besides Hawaii and SMU, that run the R&S full time.

I did not say using motion made it less a R&S, just that the guy who is responsible for it being where it is today doesn't use it anymore. Mouse Davis coached at Portland State the past couple years but being D-II I never saw them play, so I don't know if they did or didn't.

I know lots of high schools use it and they may or may not motion, it really doesn't matter to me. I was just stating that Jones doesn't. Didn't mean for it to become a pissing match. A lot of people that play NCAA want things as real as can be and I tend to be stickler for things, so when someone says something about an offense that hasn't actually been used in 15 years I just like to set the record straight.

You are correct, there are many ways one can implement it. Even Bill Walsh and his WCO implemented option routes. And whilst at Hawaii, JJ started implementing some WCO principles. So it's give and take.

Wow, dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.

Seems people are angry their team wasn't picked. We're getting 8 teams and they are all pretty well known. Miami was a powerhouse and appears to be on the rise again. They also are a good choice to show off the pro style offense with their depth at the running back position and all their speed at wide receiver. They also have a good quarterback in Jacory Harris who has shown he has potential to be something great.

Ohio State is another good example for their offense. As much as I hate to admit it, they are a good team year in and year out. Plus, this match up will be a big one that has the chance to make the season go one way or another. If Miami can win they will have a much easier road to a top 10 ranking. If Ohio State wins they will show they are still a top team that can hang with the speed with fundamental defense.

Florida is a good pick because it will be showing off a Florida team we are not familiar with. How will they be without Tebow? Will their defense still be as strong and quick?

Florida State was a great choice because this is a big rivalry and its a chance to see how they will do with a new coach. Not that that translates into the game rally, but it is a chance to see where the new and hopefully not too overrated Florida State team stands.

Now, Missouri. They aren't the most well known team really. They stand in a conference with big name teams like Oklahoma and Texas, but they hold their own pretty good. They have what could potentially be the best QB in the draft when he leaves with Blaine Gabbert. They are also one of the originals in the spread and the father of the spread no huddle. This was an obvious choice in my opinion to show off the spread.

Clemson... this choice has me stumped a little. I don't know why exactly they chose them. Its probably to show off another type of spread so the casual gamer doesn't think every teams plays like Mizzou. It will be interesting to see how they are without their two big speed demons.

I'm glad Clemson is in so we can see the Howard's Rock intro. I love that rock. Every time they rub it, the Hokies win

I bet whoever worked on the marching bands in last year's game is pissed.
