I think the patch helped the game tremendously.

I think the patch certainly helped on balls up the middle being gobbled by the pitcher. The pitcher can still be Mr. Super Fielder at times but I've also seen the animation of him hitting the deck to avoid the ball a few times. More balls get through the middle now than pre-patch imo.

One thing I haven't been impressed with is the default fielder the game chooses for you after the hit. On balls in the infield they often give me an outfielder. I tried to dive the other day with my 2B and Magglio dove in the OF. Reminded me of the Show when I did that since they used to have a similar problem.

I went and got The Show yesterday (9 bucks can't beat that!) - and among the trade ins was not MLB 2K10. I favor MLB 2K10's pitching and batter controls, because The Show is overall boring. It has the great presentation and everything to make it look like an awesome video game, but tapping the X button to throw and hit is just boring. Someone once said 'it is like having a hot girlfriend, but she sucks in bed' The analog stick controls are what made 2K10 fun. I just don't get that excitement that I do with MLB 2K10, so they definately did something right for a football guy like me to enjoy a baseball game. I will give MLB 2K11 a first look just like MLB 2K10.

The thing I bolded says it all. You're not a baseball fan, so you don't actually care about a baseball video game being a realistic representation of MLB.

Even secondary fans care about a realistic representation of MLB. You can't assume only hardcare fans want realism. I think the Show does a great job of that myself but it needs to improve in options like analog controls and camera angles. Realistic and fun don't always go hand in hand. Gameplay mechanics play a role.

Honestly, if I had the time, I would play both games. I enjoy what 2K10 brought to the table this year. But, it isn't the total package that The Show is. When forced to choose between the two, I'm going with The Show.

Again, not a knock on 2K at all as I think they really stepped its game up this year and produced a quality title. I may go back and pick the game back up again at a later date because it is fun to play.

Lol, I just d/l the demo for 360 last night...in the real version , how much of those pitching & hitting graphics can you turn off? I wanna try this game basically for the commentary and mlb today...usually I do franchise but I hear that it's lame...

I just really want the ball cursor to go away...and does anyone use classic pitching?
