Doubtful. They haven't released a blog on a weekend yet.

I wonder if anymore of the features from the survey make there way into the game. NCAA 11 is already bringing the heat if they add the AD mode I will strip and run down my street.

1. The first thing I noticed was the horrible throwing animation as well. Let's hope it's a previous build.

2. I thought I was the only one who didn't understand the "fake" replay angles. For a realistic game, use realistic broadcast replays. Make it feel like I'm watching a real game on t.v.

3. I'm not jumping to conclusions on the fears of an offensive powered game predicated on unstoppable rushing attacks. They are showing singular plays from random games and they aren't breaking it for TD's. I'm sure that player attributes determine how easily someone can be blocked or achieve a block. Also, the defensive alignment and assignment has a HUGE deal of importance on the success of a running play. Therefore, the read option isn't any more dangerous that other plays if you know how to defend it.

There is no "perfect" play or offense/defense in football. If there was, everyone would be using it. And seeing as how there are "120 Ways to Win", that obviously is not the case.

Looked very very good, imo.

I had some confusion on some of the option stuff.

In the Air Force play, the slotback really took a wide arc path to the safety.
In one of the Georgia Tech plays, however, the slot ran straight ahead, right into the end who was supposed to be unblocked. I'm not sure of what the scheme was, but I hope most option plays look more like the former than the latter.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Video: New Features of the Game

Im going to be really negative in this post. FYI.

Okay, my heart dropped after watching this preview. it looks like... well, a whole bunch of BS and the only thing that really changed from last year are ESPN animations and blocking assignments.

first off, my biggest complaint, 120 ways to win, the way they present it, sounds like complete bull****. they make it sound like the spread option/spread/run & shoot wasnt in the game last year. it was. every formation they talk about was. the only thing that changed was that blocking assignments were added. and adding a name to it like "120 ways to win" is supposed to make it sound like a brand new feature or something.

Locomotion, again, from the way they present it, looks like some new animations of people falling down. in that video, pryor does a now momentum WHIP AROUND spin move that makes no sense, physically, and we get the same "whoops, i missed" animation from the defender. all the rest looks like clips from last years game.

the rest is all just fluff.

im not looking forward to this game nearly as much as i was before this video. thanks, EA team.

The addition of blocking assignments means the game moves from being just something that vaguely looks like a football game to an emulation of what actually occurs on the field. That's pretty darn big.

Spread/option/etc was in the game last year in appearance only. There was no "option" in the triple option, no "read" in the zone read. I'd say blocking assignments are a huge step.

These guys seem to have a lot more "football sense" than the Madden developers or Ian. Really don't know what it is, but they seem to know a lot more of the sport, and are a lot more excited. Good vid, excited for the game.

running animations still look robotic but not as bad, and wtf was that throwing motion?

nice little video of Russ and Ben. Oh, and the FEW clips of the game were good too (other than the throwing motion on the first pass)
