While I am looking forward to getting my hands on this game, I think people are over-thinking this passing deal. I would not be surprised if this is on some Tiger Woods after-touch effect stuff which is not good.

If Nat. Mot. nails this the first time out, all the kudos in the world but knowing that Nat. Mot. has never made a video game before, I'm not going to over excite myself, not to mention, this game was first announced in 07 (or was it 06? Hmm) and here it is 3yrs later, the game is not out, yet, and they can't even get basic "little things" like fatigue and injuries in the game There are still a few suspect looking things going on in this game, as well, so getting hands on will tell.
2 weeks and 2 days left...although I think I will be ballin' with BB a lil earlier.

Re: Backbreaker Video: Passing Game

Correct me if i'm wrong, but did the video say you can lead the ball AFTER its thrown?

I don't particularly enjoy that ballistic missile stuff.

I hope thats not true, and that you have to lead simultaneously as you throw it.

They never specified exactly when you do it.
Read june1004's post if you want clarification.

its not after the ball is thrown....it is during the throwing motion....so you gota do it before the ball leaves your hand.

I know, I used to think the same thing.....the narrator says "immediately after the pass"....I think he meant to say immediately after passing with the stick.

I know this sounds weird and I usually never say stuff like this...but trust me, it is the way I described....Steve should be able to confirm this when he gets his copy.

Re: Backbreaker Video: Passing Game

Yeah, this is why I'm lost with it. Don't forget that they call it "after-touch", which sounds like something that happens after you release the ball (like Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on SNES). It didn't look like the ball really did anything mid-flight in the tutorial video and that would be ridiculous if that's how it works, but I'm guessing they wouldn't do something as stupid as that.
