Well, Southern, that wasn't CJ running the ball in the video. It was Javon Ringer...

Ill believe it when i play it myself. i could get good block like that on Madden 10 on Pro, but any difficulty above that. the A.I. says the hell with blocking and start running in circles, making wrong blocking decisions or just trying to stand in front of the guy. I would like to see a vid that shows the difficulty setting on All-Madden or All-Pro then im convinced.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Blog: Run Blocking Improvements

Looks better. Like the double team blocking, and them tearing off to make another block. The 1st block should break down after that though, but it doesn't seem to. The linebackers seem to be reacting a little slowly.

In the first video, with the block to the left, looks like there's suction, that the defender is going for the blocker instead of the running back.

In the second video, you can see a defender running into the back of another, with no animation being triggered. So the one running into the other is just running in place. Still no animations for incidental contact. I was hoping the new locomotion system would fix that problem. Anyone else notice the frame shift when the HB received the handoff?

Slider Requests

  • Slider for the run reaction needs to work better than in M10.
  • Slider for double team block shedding.
  • Slider for double team blocking propensity.

It;s not that the run blocking logic doesn't look better, because it does. It's just that the players interacting still lacks the life that the 2k players have. Can someone send these guys a 5 dollar copy of APF 2k8? Look at all of the things that happen away from the ball. Guys move like they are alive, they fall over, trip, push, shove, scuffle, crawl... In Madden it still looks like a bunch of robots trying to get out of each other's way. I don't understand why this is so difficult for the Dev team to grasp. Everyone on this board has been clamoring for life like player movement.
