Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

So I taught my girlfriend how to fight on the ground..... Now I am liking the ground game. It will need its tweaks (3 transitions) but overall I like the feel. Submission system is off but I am liking some of the other aspects.

I have no issue with the KO's. I dont expect much from the AI and whenever I am fighting another person the knockouts seem very fair. I think people expect to be able to have a Griffen/Bonner style of fight, throwing hands with little regard to defense.

keep in mind these guys are light heavyweights so knockouts are going to happen. Didnt they say that it will be more difficult to just knock someone out with the smaller guys?

My only issue is the submission system because the shine is the dumbest thing.

I'm guessing you want us to ask for your help or what you know that we don't. So I'll bite. Clue us in.

I love the demo so far but everytime I get to the mount down position and try to mount up, my guy (usually evans or machida) just gets off of my opponent. What am I doing wrong?

Again, hopefully this is their mindset.

It will play out like this...two weeks after the "casual fan" purchases the game, they'll trade it in and go back to BC2/MW2 or move on to the next big game that drops that week. The voices of the "hardcore" community will grow and grow until THQ is forced to release a patch and bring the game back down to earth.
I guess Machida wishes that they would have released that patch before he basically got KO'ed by one punch in the first round. I bet those casual fans in attendance were at fault. It wasn't the one punch that brought Machida literally back down to earth. Man, I just got KO'ed in the first round in the demo!! Is that realistic??

You are doing a major transition instead of a minor transition.

But yes it is unrealistic. Only 3 of his fights have ended in the first round.
One by submission at 2:30,one by doctor stoppage against Bonnar at 4:21 and the KO against Thiago Silva at 4:59. In addition Shogun hasn't been finished by strikes or KO'd (again could change in a few hours),he has 4 losses,2 by sub,1 by decision and he broke his arm in the other.
Let me rephrase the question. Is it unrealistic for an undefeated fighter to get basically KO'ed by one punch in the first round??
