Did you notice any other clipping outside of the RB's foot through the OL's calf?

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial

Makes me wonder why we'd ever want to slide with the QB if there aren't any injuries. Unless, or course, they substitute that with poor ball handling skills and they are prone to fumble more often.

Same with controlling the kicker after kick-off to try and tackle the returner.

Awesome video, and 74 clearly has his foot stepped on making him fall to the ground.

Basically, it's cool to go through the video looking for anything that proves that the Physics Based Action!! makes this the greatest football game ever but calling attention to something that the engine was supposed to fix(clipping and player movement) is unacceptable.

love how everybody was excited until a dev made an appearance and then everybody and his brother started chiming in with the nitpicking " this and that does not look real or friggin perfect"... oh never change OS, never change.

this game FOR WHAT IT IS TRYING TO DO... looks tight... I will buy. Love the camera, love the stick controls... Go download Tecmo Bowl on XBLA and switch it to retro mode and THAT'S an example of what I grew up playing! (actually go to game room and DL intellivision or Atari 2600 football)

this game with the physics is exactly what any of us should realistically be expecting to play (without the benefit of an NFL license)

I guess it's not quite all 'physics based action' and if it is, then there are some collision problems.
I don't think that clipping example sure be ignored...

but the game is kind of weird, I see more instances where you would expect clipping...but it doesn't happen and the players interact with each other realistically...

check out at 3:17 of the slow mo clip.....when his other foot lands, it lands on the defender's arm realistically.....no clipping there.....

So I think maybe there are little glitches that do happen but for the most part there doesn't seem to be any clipping between players...

but I'm sure when the game releases, we'll know if it is a rare occurrence or one that will be an issue.........like in other football games.

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial

i'm not a huge fan of having the moves on the analog stick. I mean its ok but whats wrong with using the digital buttons? unless you are going to add sensitivity to the moves ie half jukes and full jukes. just my personal opinion.

it really looks good. now if they capture the AI of a real football game i will be happy.

I loke how some of the haters of this game were trying to describe the eupohoria collisions as "rag dolling". Even saw a madden dev describe it this way. From some of the videos I've seen, clearly that is not the case.

Did you play NFl 2k5? Using the thumbstick gives you a lot more control over what moves you do than just pressing B to spin or Y to shoulder charge.
