I won't be that excited untill I see some real gameplay and some Copa Libertadores info.

I believe that they have had a team focused on this for at least 2 years, if they deliver on these features and upgrades, which I expect them to (Only EA can get away with gimmicks and still get sales year after year) it would be a huge overhaul and such work can't be done in just 1 year.

wow this i didn't know. they were actually working on a separate game altogether for 2 yrs? i am now intrigued becuase thats what fifa did but it took fifas new engine 3 years to get right after its first release with 07 so i'm intrigued but skeptical

easports are now refining while konami will be starting all over

I only played the demos, but I thought PES 2010 was much smoother than FIFA that it didn't seem like an overhaul was necessary. Of course, I don't follow soccer, so I'll probably pick up '09 anyway. I did like the direct-pass with the right stick, but I rarely used it, so a freestyle control may work.

This sounds real intriguing. I hope the game ends up being as flavorful as it seems.

I've been fairly entertained by PES 2010 for the past year so any improvements are welcomed but the only thing I see as truly vital is fixing the dodgy goal keeper AI. Keepers can make some ridiculously stupid decisions at times that can cost you goals.

It'd be nice if Konami could fully license some more leagues, not adding additional ones but just completing the ones that are already in PES 2010, like a fully licensed EPL or La Liga.

That was kind of a cool trailer. Really poetic. I'll actually be looking at a next-gen PES game for the first time.
