Yea it was mostly big 10 teams but they talked and showed some stuff from the others in the blog including how they made Miami's entrance.

Pageantry and Tradition; two words commonly used to describe what separates college football as one of the greatest experiences in sports today. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the action takes place on the field... and one of the hallmarks of collegiate football is how you get there. From Howard's Rock at Clemson, to the "Play like a Champion Today" sign at Notre Dame, to the roar of the crowd as our favorite team takes the field, we've recreated some of your favorite traditions before kickoff and brought them to you like never before.

As I wrote in my last blog, we really wanted to strengthen our authenticity and presentation in NCAA 11. And to do that, we knew pregame entrances were a major component of building a great foundation. We've created run outs for some of the most popular schools based on who you pledged your loyalty to in last year's title, including Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and more.

It was import for us to create a sense of nostalgia and identity with each entrance, and we did that by finding key elements that separated one team from another. Objects like LSU's "Win Bar" or Tennessee's "I will give my all for Tennessee today!" sign helped us to expand our interior environments. However, other key elements were found via the interactions of the players; for instance, Ohio State's players interlock arms as they head to the field. In addition, we looked to see what role the teams' mascot played in the entrance. We saw mascots leading the team out to the field holding a giant team logo flag (Notre Dame) or an American Flag (Iowa) or simply running with the players from the tunnel exit (Georgia). Each of these elements was important in creating the run out sequences you'll see in the game this year.

Wow. I did not expect a blog on Tuesday and especially did not expect a blog on team entrances. They look bad ***. I can definitely understand only getting about 30 of them in the game, but hopefully they have generic ones for other teams.

Would most people agree that the actual field entrance for a lot of teams is pretty simple? Just running out of the locker room? Others may resemble some of the entrances shown in EA's video. (Vanderbilt runs from the locker room through and inflated helmet like Miami)

However, some teams have a pre-game tradition as well, which would be pretty nice to see. Vanderbilt has "Star Walk" where they enter the stadium with 2 players carrying an anchor, which is seen here at about the 0:31 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szfOI-wydQs

Now, I'm a realist and understand that Vanderbilt is no where near a powerhouse program. At the same time, I would hope that EA continues to add entrances every year from now on so hopefully the rest of them are put in the game eventually. It would be so awesome to play a dynasty game at a school like San Jose State and watch their unique entrance. I certainly have no idea what theirs is, but man it would be cool to watch.

Now look at what we have here... Just a week and half ago we had 700+ comments of hate on this game over the alpha built video. Now look the same people is right back on board, SMH. This game has almost everything that we have been asking for since we started playing Sports games. If you are not a believer now, then you are just a PURE *****. This game is going to be AMAZING. We are in for a hot summer people.

Madden better really bring it because NCAA is looking like the big brother right now! Not only does it seem like NCAA will have better presentation than Madden but there's just so much more to college football than the NFL. 120 teams compared to 32, more plays (options, trick plays, etc..) Madden might be the game that collects dust this year.

Anyone think they'll do what they did with the bands and post an entrance a day closer to launch? Not sure if that'd be feasible though, dunno how many they actually added

They mentioned Howard's Rock. And they mentioned Georgia's mascot running out of the tunnel with them.....this leads me to believe that my all time video game dream might actually make it in this year:

ill admit it, i was skeptical when the "Alpha" video came out, but who wouldn't be. It wasn't what any of us were looking for. Now I will eat my words, and gladly, this looks like what we HAVE been asking for. I had the right to "hate" on that video, and now I'm glad I can say I can now recant.
