Really? All this time I've been playing on Expert, haha.

Has anyone managed to get a sub? The ground game makes a lot of sense to me now and I actually get finishes on expert via GnP after posturing up.

My new mission is to get a sub. Even on beginner, I got mount on Rampage easily with Shogun, but then an armbar from mount didn't get it done. I read the FB FAQ, and it said to "gas" out your opponent.. well, how does that happen? The stamina bar seemingly recovers instanteously.

Attack the body. Force him to try and transition. Only time I ever got a sub on a CPU was in last year's demo when I rocked the opponent. In last year's full version, it was so easy with all the transition happy noobs.

I think that's when you posture up and when they grab your head to bring it down to their chest, you use that to block. I'm not too sure about it though.

I'm guessing and hoping a lot of these things will be toned down in the final build. The demo is made separate and not tested as much so I've heard. That's one of my biggest issues is the strategy aspect, it seems like all they try and do on the higher levels is go for a takedown. Rashad sure I understand but Shogun and Machida shoot so often it gets kind of ridiculous. Where are the flash subs? I don't understand how I can lock on a submission and within 2-3 seconds the CPU is out of it but they lock one on and I'm almost instantly tapping.

On the action list, it's in every single ground position. This is ridiculous. Why even bother transition blocking when it's based on energy? You should be punished for not paying attention to someone trying to pass your guard or move into a much more advantageous position.

I'm fine with the fact that after only a few tries, the transition is successful. You can punish them with a reversal. But you shouldn't be able to prevent someone passing unless you YOURSELF is doing the preventing. Horrible.

Now that I think about it, the developers may have added that for the casual gamer who doesn't wanna bother learning all the commands. Maybe the exhibition fights are arcade mode by default and that's why the transitions are so stupid. I'll test this theory and hope to God I'm right.

Nope, I was wrong. I immediately took Rampage down in Sim mode and blocked two transitions by giving 100% at doing absolutely nothing. Am I the only one who's really bothered by this?
