And "normal" punches like jabs seem to have no effect at all, and hard uppercuts and stuff also don't look good. In 09 you could really see how punches hit hard, now everything looks like girl slaps that have no effect at all. I hope EA will do a better job with their MMA game.
Yeah, I think 09's standup game was better. I'm really not a big fan of "the shine" either. Can you do power escapes at all in 10?

I don't see enough improvements/differentiation to warrant a Day 1 purchase for me. I'll get the game, but am going to wait for it to drop in price a bit.

http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f2/how...68/index3.html

Here is what this method percentage would be for all weight categories.
This is for all promotions, but just for fights in last 2 years:

ctg - count - KO/TKO - Sub - Decision - Draw
125 -- 184 - 17.4% - 34.2% - 39.1% - 9.2%
135 -- 706 - 25.8% - 41.9% - 28.2% - 3.0%
145 - 1141 - 27.4% - 43.2% - 25.9% - 2.1%
155 -- 878 - 24.1% - 40.7% - 30.1% - 4.2%
170 - 1141 - 27.4% - 43.2% - 25.9% - 2.1%
185 - 1886 - 29.2% - 40.1% - 26.8% - 2.5%
205 - 1739 - 32.3% - 42.3% - 22.1% - 2.1%
265 -- 196 - 35.2% - 30.6% - 31.1% - 1.0%

Here Decision percentage is much more evenly distributed (around 30%).

Still, HW have the most KO/TKO (35%), but it is not that much more then other weight categories.

LHW are the most exciting, because they have only 22% of decision.

http://www.tapology.com/2009/10/heav...ore-knockouts/

kind of pointless stats if they are including KO's with TKO's....

The Ko's are dramatic...I have no problem with me dropping a fighter after a hook and then finish him off after just one hit to the face(while he's on the ground) before the ref calls it....

Its like Im playing UFC Ultimate Knockouts of 2010 instead of UFC Undisputed 2010 "As real As It Gets"

Just saying, I would like to see more TKO's rather than a dramatic KO...If that was the case, I could care less about decision wins..

Ill buy that .. .. but like it's been said on here before I think it will be toned down during the final release. balance with kos was fine with another live player - it seems skewed when playing the computer on higher difficulty levels -

Here are a few basic points that myself and a friend have picked up on from the demo:

Smoother gameplay, better presentation, submissions are harder to lock in which is good, striking is nicely balanced, takedowns are nice and quick.

Also, just a thought about submissions: anybody who is complaining about not being able to button bash their way out of submissions obviously just needs to practice a method which most people have been utilising all year. There's no point whining about it just get on with it and get better. Don't mean that to sound harsh but that how it is on 2010.

Yup, shining is natural to me since that was the method I used most of the time last game. I only button mashed once it hit the second stage of locking it in in desperation to escape. I only used shine since, if you escape they put you in an advantageous position. Although, if someone pulls a submission switch on me, I can't spin counter clock wise as fast and clean as I do clockwise.

Machida's take down should no where be as successful as it is now. If you take Rashad and try taking down the fighter most of the time it gets stuffed if he's just standing there even if the cpu didn't manually stuff the take down. On the other hand, Machida will take anyone down unless the cpu predicted the takedown and shook you off.

I'm with Jukeman on this one...I'm just not feeling this demo. I still have '09, and may just hang on to it for my UFC fix. Going to re-read the previews and such to get an idea of what changes to career mode were made.

I've seen a video on Gamespot where they were playing the actual game, and yes the clock does run that fast in the actual game.

It doesnt really bother me, I just hope the speed of subs are turned down when the game comes out.

I was really hoping they put Bruce Buffer's over-excited announcment voice in the game this year.

"FIGHTTINNNGGGGG, out of the blue corner......."
