Tecmo Bowl Throwback Impressions (PS3 and 360)

I like it, but I really think I'm too good. I've absolutely mastered this game and there is not really any fun in using the default playbooks. Some of the playbooks are horrid. Pretty much all you will see from the best players is Dallas and Detroit.

I will stick to my Tecmo Players Circuit. My site has W-L records!

Man I can believe this. I've gotten myself all worked up today. I thought he PS3 version was out. Second class citizens is what we are.

'Whoa' to those who said this is the greatest football game and all that jazz. I think people are getting a little too caught up with lowered expectations on such a game and going bonkers because lowered expectations gives u so much more room for allowing error. If it's fun, it's fun and your opinion is your opinion but making such grandiose statements is a bit overboard since we've had MUCH better football gaming since the last Tecmo Bowl. No new coat of paint on an old game I had BEEN tired of even back in the days after a while will make me giddy enough to act like this game is the Second Coming or anything to that effect.

Already i think we need a patch so you cant use D lineman on-line cause people gotta cheese doing NT dives. Also put win and loss records online. and adjustable playbooks online also.

I was playing a guy tonight who kept not wanting to use the NT dive....but kept going back to it. Favorite part was that he NEVER got me and whiffed about 3 times.

I was up 14-0....still unscored on online...and kicked off to start the 2nd half. Pinned him on his own 8. First play, I picked his play and sacked him on the 2. I don't remember what happened on the next play, but then he just pulled the plug. Nice.

I still LOVE this game though...

I had that happen the other day. I beat a guy, that must have been new. That's all I can figure. Or there's a bug with the reporting.
