This has not been talked about too much, but the increased girth of the facemask has made the helmets look a lot better. I'm loving the cutscenes. In last years version players only celebrated by their self, Seeing the sideline of UF after the timeout and the bama players bumping heads was awesome to see.

You took the words out of my mouth with that one. Facemasks look waay better. They actually mentioned that back when they released the facemask photos.

One of the are directors said they put more layers on the facemask bars to fill em out. It definitely shows.

Yeah, what was up with that? It sounded like it was coming from inside a small basketball arena, not a 90,000 seat stadium. The "D-Fense!" chant from the '09 game was fine, but last year they messed with it for some reason.

As far as I'm concerned the crowd is still really messed up, visually and audibly. The crowd still looks terrible. How long are they gonna have the 8-bit Nintendo characters as fans in the stands? It has gone literally unchanged since the '07 version came out. And fans cheer at odd times and do strange things. They will cheer as loudly on a 2 yard run as they would on a touchdown pass, and sometimes the AI messes up and they cheer on a failed 4th down conversion. The student sections, while accurate on occasion, don't look all that realistic, either. Everyone from one school is wearing the exact same colors which makes the stadium pan shot clash horribly with the other school's colors. It's almost liked they are fenced into one area. They need to blend the two sections better so it doesn't stand out as much, and change up the fan models, please! Unless it's a special occasion, not everyone at the game wears the exact same colors and outfits.

Agree with you on most counts except for the opposing fans clashing. Most schools have specific sections that they sell to the opponent. The opposing fans will be scattered elsewhere if they don't buy through their school though. But if you notice, that's mostly the case with NCAA 10. There are some opposing fans scattered outside their section(s). But other than that, yeah you're right on track.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Video: Interview and Gameplay

Other than better pocket forming (which was great to see), I don't see the big deal about this vid. Momentum is not that noticeable as I still see too much changing directions on a dime. Rush from the ends is still crap. Everything is just too fast. I could go on.

Better than last year? Hell yeah. Reason being that '10 was absolutely horrible.

Maybe the demo will change my mind. But it's still not up there with 2K's gameplay. I want to see an EA game where every rating for each player matters. I'm not holding my breath on that.
