I'm sure Josh and his small crew is doing their best to focus on both offline and online franchise mode. We have 4 months until madden is released. Plenty of time for blogs. Don't worry so much. But overall it is nice to see them doing alot for madden this year. Can't wait until the trailer tonight.
LOL, agreed. Josh is still pimping out the Madden Ultimate Team, when that is over, we'll see more from him on the Madden side of things.

I just feel sometime people around here try to over react because all the news is focus on other parts of the game right now. When I know there is still plenty of time for them to give us info. I know Josh got the franchise mode department in hand. He did a great job on it last year. I'm a franchsie nut. I'm sure Josh Looman is going to do everything he can to give fans the deepest franchise mode possible for fans to enjoy this coming year. But I wish people would stop going overboard and just wait a blog on franchise mode later on. But overall worrying ain't going help any. So best thing for fans is to enjoy the current news we are getting and go on and enjoy the draft coverage with the madden crew here in a few hours.

Worrying? No, just believing it when we see it. And what we're seeing right now is a bullet-point titled "Deeper" with the words "enhanced ONLINE functionality". Too bad "franchise" isn't in there.

Pointing out the fact that the word "franchise" isn't in the marketing right now isn't worrying, it's calling it like we see it, i.e., if they're not pimping franchise mode in their marketing text, then franchise ain't getting a lot of attention this year.

Notice that I didn't say franchise isn't getting ANY attention this year; just that if it isn't getting a lot of emphasis in the marketing plan, history shows it isn't getting a lot of emphasis period.

Their past performance hasn't earned my blind faith yet. If they have your blind faith, more power to you. But your faith is no more legitimate than other people's dubiousness, so live and let live.

Funny, a lot of these items comming out about Madden seem to have been taken from Backbreaker (analog controls, momentum, etc).

Funny what some competition can do! Too bad I have no interest until EA redoes the engine from scratch, as Madden is old tech now.

Because they haven't worked on it since they nerfed it back in 2006? And Superstar is beyond repair at this point...

Well I know how you feel. Since madden has come the next gen console. Franchsie mode has been quite poor. The last madden I played with a deep franchise mode was madden 07 ps2. When it had owner mode in it. But I feel madden 10 was a good starting point for Josh and his crew with offline franchise mode. In the blog from last year he point out to us and said don't expect for HC 09 suddenly fall into madden. Josh had to rebuild franchise mode in madden 10 from the ground on up. It is going to take a few years for him to really get madden offline franchise deep once again. It just take time my friend. People just need to give him time to get out a blog on what he has done for this year franchise both online and offline. I just see it is way to early to judge until we have gotten a blog on this. If it was july and still no mention of offline franchise then I would question it. But since it is still late april. I'm not jumping to conclusion But dude like I said before I love offline franchise just as much are more then anyone on here. But it is to early to scream foul play on this one and say EA doen't care about offline franchise mode. They are trying to focus on all aspects of madden this year. It just takes time for them to write up the blogs and put them out. If I could have been a CD person this year. One of my main focus would have been about offline franchise mode. But right now the only thing we can do is wait and see what happens.

Backbreaker has nothing to do with EA doing all this stuff with locomtion this year. I'm getting BB just like anyone else is in June. But I don't feel like EA had nothing to worry about. They was doing this to get caught up with the times. EA for the past few years has been trying eveything to make madden moves more real looking. But I just feel like you are saying BB had something to with EA redoing both NCAA and Madden with a new locomotion engine just to keep up with BB. I feel it was not the reason. But I do respect yours and everyone else opinion on that subject. But I do feel that BB is not the reason for EA doing all this for ncaa 11 and madden 11 this year. But bro before say no about getting ncaa are madden 11. Please try the demo.

I'll ask if there is anything else I can say and hope I didn't say too much already.
I think this idea will be pretty cool if the AI is smart enough and each team will have their own unique style. The Brees interview sounded promising in regards to this, so hopefully the final implementation is solid.

Also hope it would tie into your team in franchise mode somehow in the event you change style based on personnel after a period of years.
