NCAA Football 11 Video: Gameplay Footage

I am just saying, I know what to expect of the game. I think anyone at this stage should know going by videos and pictures what to expect from EA. If you honestly are hoping that there's going to be a major change from May until July when the game releases then you are either new to all of this or you're in the top 1% of the most optimistic people in the world.

As for the presentation stuff, I wouldn't be surprised to see it "well we wanted to but we just didn't have time, hopefully next year" card get played on that. It was played quite nicely last year and if memory serves, the year before as well.

Why is this considered a gameplay vid? This isn't gameplay, this is showing instant replays in real time. I want to see how the game actually looks the way I would be playing it, not how it looks in instant replays where the graphics are all pretty. The animations were terribly robotic and there was sliding and shifting everywhere. Exactly the same as all of the other Madden games. It's truly amazing...

What bothers me about all of this, especially this time of year, is that the only representation of NCAA football, or NFL football, will be from EA/Tiburon. And with every mention of "we're adding this and fixing that," it makes it even more discouraging for me.

My intention isn't to get off topic either. In fact, this video just reinforces the fact that video game football remains one dimensional with one representation. The video shows an old game engine that was promised as "built from the ground up" when the current generation of consoles were released. It wasn't and continues to be sub-standard.

Gamespot is supposed to be releasing a game preview for NCAA Football 11 Friday. I know they are doing Madden 11 at midnight on Thursday. Pasta just posted this article. They showing new running animations and they look way better than that sh**** video that was released yesterday
