But EA would move our games to 11:00 for a #1 vs. #2 game with UF

Re: NCAA Football 11 Blog: ESPN Integration

I dunno. It's a cool addition, but I don't find this particularly exciting...at least not in the "I'm sold!!!" kind of way a lot of people are. It's a nice addition, but there's no info on whether or not presentation quality has been improved. If it's the same types of overlays, lackluster commentary, etc but just with ESPN slapped on it with a few added broadcast wipes, is it really so much better?

I'm not knocking the addition at all and am glad it's being done, but I'm more intrigued about what's to come than this news itself. If it's this AND some type of pregame, post-game, or half-time additions or some revamped commentary, then I may start getting excited. It is a nice addition though.

Like just about everyone else this has me pumped. Hopefully the next blog reveals that there is better commentary (preferably a different team) and authentic cut scenes. The presentation will only go so far, if they don't get this right.

Yes, I know. I read the blog. As I said, I get what the addition of ESPN is and I'm all for it. That's not my point. I simply hope the info he teased has something more to do with the overall quality or depth of presentation rather than the branding that's being addressed here. We'll see.

South Carolina and Arkansas in 2007 as well. Point being, it isn't as if this never happens. Whether it be CBS strong-arming LSU or not. So despite its infrequency, its still something that shouldn't be removed from the game if it actually happens. Whether EA should fine tune it so it happens less often is another matter.
