Football fans should have plenty to keep them busy this summer.

Writing this from my blackberry because I am away for work but I have to chime in here.

IF this is done correctly this will be the game changer we have all been waiting for. Guys, it is now obvious that Ian is serious about returning madden to its glory years. I undrstand people taking the wait and see approach since we have been burned before. I was equally dissapointed as many of you after Madden 10 but it did progress quite a bit from Madden 09.Maybe last year they spent a majority of time ripping out old broken code and putting in systems that they needed to get this game where is SHOULD be. We will find out this year...

Ian thank you so much for finally putting this in. If done correctly this will be the biggest addition in Madden history. Finally many of the ratings that were useless for so long will become even more important then just speed.

Can't wait to get to a computer and watch the vids! Can anyone comment how the new running animations look? (For those of us not fortunate to watch at the moment)

Great news! I'm very impressed. Now I just hope that a player won't come out of a collision at his top speed.
After trucking someone with the highlight stick, I should be forced to accelerate my player again to get to his top speed.

The race comparison was nice, yet kinda frustrating to be reminded that previous Maddens didn't have a major difference in acceleration. The other vid was a little too choppy, I really didn't get a feeling of any improvement there.

Still in "I'll believe it when I see it mode."

I got extremely pumped when I read that they are combining the FIFA locomotion system with Madden's new locomotion tech. I'm really excited to see the outcome of this.

Now if they fix blocking and improve the offseason of franchise mode i will have little to complain about.

because he was highlighting the "AGILITY" ability...which determines how fast a player can accelerate while making turns/cuts.

As a new guy on these community forums, these last two blogs show me EA really is listening to what people say. I heard the developers don't post as much as they used to, because of the hating. Now it shows that they do take the good ideas from comments and try to work with them.

Hopefully the haters will notice that constructive criticism works and straight up bashing will 'scare' developers away. Anyways, good to see my first recent comment from Ian, welcome back I'd say. Really motivates me to ask questions and post ideas. I like the direction Madden has taken since Madden 10, and while I don't expect the game to be perfect, I notice great improvement. Great job on the way they build on improvements and just focus on actually making the game better.

I have kind of a direct question though, as I hear words like momentum and agility and so on. Will weight be factored into those categories, or is it still to complex to maybe achieve those kinds of things?
