Hi Russel. Is there anyway I could use this opportunity to get my foot in the door for next year? I'm a Computer Science major with a Math, IT and IS Minor. I don't finish until a year from now. Sports video games are the reason I took up the Major. It would be an dream come true to work for you guys.

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity

I used to live in San Diego, played some college/semi-pro baseball too when I was out there. I am definitely interested in applying for this position.

Interested. I'll take the "Senior Member" requirement as a non-absolute and bank on familiarity with The Show and knowledge of baseball, itself, being equally important.

Good to see this program considered. It's a great idea and, if implemented, should foster dramatic improvement in the game.

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity

Totally interested!

I am 28 years old, work at a photo studio in NY (so taking a half of a year off is actually doable). I have been playing baseball video games since i was a kid. My first full 162 game season was in ken griffey jr's snes game in like 1995. I have put in 7 combined seasons (no sims) since i started playing the show. that doesn't count the seasons ive put in to all the mvp games, high heat games, and even baseball mogul. I bought a ps3 just for the show, and havent bought another game since.

also, obviously im a huge baseball fan, not just casually.

i consider myself a "pro" player, especially when it comes to baseball video games. I played and was a runner up in an mlb the show competition in NYC, and have also played and won in a few west coast smash brothers competitions.. so i guess in conclusion, im the worst of the video game nerds haha. i also worked a few summers at activision in glen cove, NY, as a game tester (yes i was one of the first to play judge dredd for snes, and clay fighter haha.... classics :b )

oh and i posted a picture of my cat asking me to stop playing this past season.

k thats my story. and i've always wanted to goto san diego.

Awesome opportunity for someone. Awesome opportunity for the community to have a specific person to blame next year for glitches. lol.

"Sidekickjosh did a horrible job testing The Show 11".

I'm not trying to be a dink, but just because you don't spend hours slogging/posting responses to every single Q&A or shooting down someone who (obnoxiously or otherwise) vents about the game doesn't mean you're not a die hard. Although I see how that's easier to quantify.

I've easily logged more hours with this game than any other in years of gaming. I'm also a college graduate, seasoned professional, and can communicate effectively. Including writing complete sentences that don't end in "LOL". (And I have a killer sense of humor).

Just saying.

Having said that...what a great idea. I continue to be impressed with your expressed interest in getting this game right. It's no wonder 10 PLAYS so much differently (and the in game universe feels so much more random) than 09. Contrary to knee-jerk reactions claiming otherwise. Best of luck!
