Re: Madden NFL 11 Screenshots and First Details (IGN)

Really trying to not troll here, but with the Pro-Madden agenda i'll probably get banned anyway, nonetheless, I just want to give my opinion on what I've seen and heard so far this year and in the past. This new article made me chuckle a little bit. First, EA comes out and basically says, "One of our main goals is to find a way to have people spend more and more money on this game, and to accomplish this, we will be adding things in DLC that we could have put in the game in the first place." What Peter Moore basically was saying is, "Why put something in Madden 11, when people will pay an extra $5-10 per copy of the game to have it in?" This becomes obvious when Madden 11 starts pimping that they have "sideline catches." Really, sideline catches? I thought this was suppose to be in Madden 08? I KNOW Ian said it was going to be in Madden 10. Th fact is Madden had been going downhill every year since it came to the next gen consoles, and Madden 10 plateaued the fall, but Madden 11 seems to be right back on track with 07,08,09. Do you REALLY believe that the additional gameplay improvements are with another 60 dollars? I guarantee you could go into Madden 10 and capture the same exact screenshots, minus the fact that EA photoshops them all. Along with the extra $15 that Peter Moore wants to take from your wallet. Personally I am done with the franchise, and hope some of you realize that Madden doesn't have your best intentions at heart as much as you think they do.

Yep... Madden 11 is finished and ready for release.

Anyways, in terms of news about them working more in depth on fixing sideline catches, what would you guys have wanted more?

No info at all about the matter, more than likely causing ones to ask EA, "Did you guys fix sideline catches?!?" and then say, "They aren't responding... they must not have been fixed! EA is lazy!!!!!"?

Or would you all have rather them do what they did now with this IGN article along with the recently released blog?

Seems like either way a lot of you guys would be acting pretty much the same (judging on how ones are acting now).

LOL at parts of this thread...I guess its just me but I have more patience than others. I'm not ready to abandon ship after the FIRST tidbit of info and a couple of screens.
I like Ian and his team and do believe they can fix the problems. I like what I've seen from NCAA so far and I'm sure with more time I'll be hyped for Madden as well.

Are there problems with the game? Sure...everyone can agree on that. Its early though people...chill and let things come out and develop. To form an opinion on the game this early, either way, is just baffling to me. Can't believe people are freaking out and ready to give up on the game already.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Screenshots and First Details (IGN)

Hello everyone, its early.....why start bashing Madden months before its release....because you know that you are going to waste your $63.00dollars on EA crappy representation of the sport of football. They refuse to change their graphic engine and the textures that they use for grass. The game looks like street fighter Ex.
The players once again have a plastic high gloss unrealistic sheen to them.Have you ever been able to have your D Linemen move by tapping them with your LB, Have you ever heard your CB talk trash to a receiver, call his name or say good play after getting burnt. Madden players have excepted this crap for so long, you cant expect anything other than more crap from Ian,Peter Moore, and the Gang at EA. 2010 was supposed to be the make or break year for madden;however, they released an unfinished product that played a very boring game of football.Don't complain about graphics until physics are nailed tight, don't add gimmicks until I have custom views and custom sound tracks, People think of how foolish the hit stick is, can you use magic to hit someone hard enough to cause them fumble, when was the last time that EA released a game that didn't need a patch...PLEASE day one don't purchase wait and rent it. The only way that we are going to get the product that we deserve is to stop complaining, stop listening to team EA lies and let our dollars do our talking...look at the design team...do any of them look like they have ever played professional football...every year the team pats itself on the back for rehashing the same crap...its like a record producer telling his artist that his music is the bomb and his fan base may purchase it yet it gets dissed by the majority.Truth be told sports game this gen have been lackluster.Rewind to when the new system were released , have we honestly played a sports game that looked like it was running on a $500 or $600 dollar gaming system. Bring back the fun factor of madden on the genesis, MVP baseball 05 on ps2, NHL hockey 94...remember watch the Madden challenge on ESPN...and when you here that someone is labbing or he has fast sticks and cchuckle to yourself...all they are really doing is admitting that they have found a glitch in the programming and that they are willing to bet that they can audible to the next glitch once you figure out how to stop the the first glitch....PS ...please include the correct skin tone for players in madden 11 ( i do not want to play with a light skinned Patrick Willis)...EA slogan should be " If I can sell it Broken, why fix it"

Re: Madden NFL 11 Screenshots and First Details (IGN)

Interesting read.

I am liking the Austin picture and am ho-hum on the Boldin one. Context is very important there--it looks like Bullitt is sort of floating, and it's hard to tell where he came from on the field or what he's trying to do.

One animation that I hope disappears is the one where a defender hits a leaping receiver in the hamstring and causes him to do a complete backwards somersault. That happens a ton and is terrible from an aesthetic standpoint.
