The MLB won't allow it. They also dictate the game's release.

GoBucs, c'mon. You're pushing it now with the demo disc comment. That's exactly the sort of thing I'm referring to as it's completely unnecessary.

People keep pushing the line then complain when they are given an infraction or banned.

But, admittedly so, it's the only sports game I've bought in almost a year. Which is really rare for me.

C'mon now, lets not be too negative about this. As has been pointed out, for all its faults it is still a very good game and highly enjoyable.

It does suck to feel like you're a beta tester when it comes to the most in-depth mode in a game (are you listening NCAA Football guys?), but as has also been stated, I think we just need to live with it because it's not changing any time soon.

About the only thing that might change it is if the sales for the game in the first month or two dropped dramatically while people waited for the patch(es). But then there would be fewer of us testing everything and letting them know what's wrong.

In short, a bit of a lose-lose-then-win for all of us.

I know this has been discussed many times before here, but just so you guys know the governing bodies would never allow it - MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, etc.

No idea what the NCAA is going to do next year.

These game companies ultimately still have to appease them to keep the license and be able to continue making games.

I admit this is what I'm doing. Playing other games while I wait for the fixes to the few problems you early adopters found. Thanks to those btw. lol
