You know what man, you're right.

Sad part is, I'd pay $100 if this game would just return to being good like it was on PS2. I've complained more about the past two next gen games than I did in all my other years on here.

But yeah, I just dont see the effort for making big leaps like we see with Madden.

What sad is that you wont find alot of ppl who say Madden is the only game they play, but you'll find more ppl who say the NCAA series is basically the only game they buy. EA doesnt seem to understand their audience.

I sure hope this is true.

I did not buy NCAA last year for the first time since 2001 and I'm really hoping they make it worth a purchase this year.

Thing is, that's exactly what I remember them saying last year. So I'll wait and see.

Clearly talk is cheap. But it seems like some of the constant complaining is slowly sinking in.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Coming in June, Website Opens with Blog

I didn't buy the last two versions of this game, so I'm not going to be a person who's overflowing with optimism, but this game still sells over 1.5 million annually so EA is not going to do like they did with NCAA basketball and spend like $70 on updating the game.

Two years ago they made horrendous gaffs in implementing the core theme of "Wide open gameplay" That cooked that game.

Last year they obviously put almost all their eggs in the Team-builder basket. That was a dubious design decision, which was also poorly implemented as well. They had 3 patches for last years' game. That says a lot about how badly things went off the rails with that version.

A game that was previously given the benefit of the doubt by all but the most ardent Anti-EA people has now become just another game that people line up to hit with both barrels.

I'm guessing they're going to want to avoid a third straight year of having the number one new feature be an unmitigated disaster. My gut tells me they rebound with a strong effort this year, maybe not enough to reclaim those who have become seriously embittered, but enough to satiate most of their fans.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

EDIT: On second thought... there's 120 Division 1 schools! Duh!
I wonder if this is a tease for some kind of emphasis on authentic team play style in NCAA 11. If they go this route, I sure hope it's something you can really see and feel in the gameplay and isn't something like the "tempo meter" in NCAA Basketball. Not that the tempo meter was a terrible feature or anything, but I'd like something a little more tangible for NCAA Football.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Coming in June, Website Opens with Blog

Just reading their old blogs from last year's game makes me lose steam for this year's game. I know they're trying to market a product and spin it so everything is new and shiny, but they've failed the last few years where the rubber hits the road.

On a scale of 1-10 on a hype meter, right now I'm at a 1. Once the blogs start flowing, a 3. And the week before the game gets released a 6. Two weeks later when all the bugs start showing up, back to a 1 and waiting until NCAA 2012.
