Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Questions for Developers After Playing Demo?

Hi, I had a few questions.

I haven't heard much talk about the online game play for this year. Will there be the ability to play online franchises this year?(something like Madden has incorporated) Last year there were online leagues, but the player ratings would never increase or decline and once the season was over you would just restart with a new league. Have they expanded on the online leagues this year and if so what are some of the new features.

Also in playing the demo, I have noticed that there is way too much computer assist when it comes to fielding. Will we be able to toggle off the computer assisted fielding as well as that batter's eye box that tells you whether a fastball or breaking ball is being thrown?

Thank you.

Also, will the stadium scoreboard been updated? Last year it would show a player's stats for the year, but wouldn't update during the game. Also, it sometimes shows career stats, which is unnecessary.
If the screenshots are any indication, it looks like the hats have not been updated at all. Pretty crappy if you ask me. They have the resources to get every player in the right hat, but I guess it's not important to them. I agree though, while it's a small detail, it is pretty important to me.

Is there an option to turn of the defensive fielding auto assist?

Can outfield players collide with one another, or do they just morph through one another?

I'd rather have smooth gameplay then the correct hats..

Probably should've brought this up in this thread to begin with, but something that just dawned on me in the last 15 minutes or so (after watching the G4TV vid) was the issue on catcher suggestions.

Being that hitting and pitching are so Inside Edge/ratings driven, I wanted to know if the catchers call pitches based on the scouting reports and ratings of each batter, or is it just randomized? Logically, I would assume that the catcher calls based on the Inside Edge report of that particular batter, but I wanted to get clarification if at all possible.

Cheers.

Are there any errors in the game, either fielding or throwing?

Did you fix the player likeness bug that was in last year's game? (i.e. when a player was demoted to the minors or put on DL and then returned, he had a generic face/stance). And did you fix the roster bugs, particularly the one in which your pitching rotation ends up with two of the same pitchers in the rotation?
