Did he have a good year last year? yes
Is he a "good" player? yes

But has he shown he is a good player other than last year? no way. He had an atrocious year at the plate in 2008.

I know we live in a society of "what have you done for me lately" but come on now. He is fast as heck and a good defensive player but he is only a career .262 hitter and has no power

Give'em a break he's only been in the majors for a few years and you cant base his carrer off one bad year. Every year is different you go in with a different approach every year. .262 for a 4 year carrer is descent nothing special. Power? I dont care about that his a lead-off man we need him to get on base and to his damage from there. We'll let out 3,4,5 guys get the RBI's.

Frankling Gutierrez, OK he has a .268 carrer average what's the big deal here?? How is better? Yes, I ive him he does have a little more strength behind the plate.

However, it is 2010 and he's 32. He missed half the season last year and looks to miss a big chunk of this upcoming season - that's labeled injury prone in my book.
He's due back in the first or second week of May.

I'm not trying to put down Bourn. I like the Astros, especially the stadium. Sick stadium. All I'm saying is that your previous body of work and consistancy should be factored more into these ratings in my opinion.

I just don't see Bourn being the 6th best CF in baseball after 1 good year. Now if he has a 2010 and 2011 like he had in 2009, then yes, he would be a top 6 or 7 CF.

Perfect example was B.J. Upton's year in 2007. Going into 2008, everyone was proclaming him a top 3 CF just because he had one amazing year. He has since followed it up with two below average years.

Now, in present day, no one even mentions BJ Upton as a top 10 CF.

I tend to agree here. Personally, besides base stealing ability, I don't think Bourn is better than McCutchen. It could be the bias talking though.

Not sure where you get your information but he will not be playing CF for the Tigers. Austin Jackson will start in CF with Damon in left.

Okay, so no Adam Jones OR Nick Markakis in the top ten for either position?

Maybe there was a computer glitch.
