Not really, look at the overall rating gradient down the list. Mauer and McCann appear as the only "A" overall players on the player cards while Victor Martinez and Yadier Molina appear to be in the "A-" area (based on my estimates). After that Jorge Posada appears to be a B+ with everyone being in the B range.

The catcher position doesn't look very deep, which I think it represents how it is in real-life. You've got a few great/excellent catchers, then a few good ones, a lot of decent ones, and a bunch of average/below-average catchers.

I was not suggesting Beckham was a top 5 2B, I was exaggerating that to compare to the exaggeration of Weiters being rated that high. Like "If Weiters is a top 10 C, then I must be a top 10 richest person in the world". Ya dig?

Yeah, but Matt Wieters is very conceivably a top 10 catcher. You might think he's only the 11th best catcher or so but it's not a huge stretch to put him in the top 10.

Oh, I'd say factoring in his defense, he's definitely a top 10 catcher.
