When "on" it cuts to the player just after the swing not viewing much of anything in regards to ball flight. Having it off follows the ball........ shadow.

I am not seeing anything on that screen that would help the situation.

Yeah, they definitely need to add a broadcast style camera like you would see in the real HR Derby. Since the mode is about just that, HRs.

It needs to track the ball fight. It would make the mode seem more fun as well.

Yup, also after the at bat is done I would like to see a recap of the hitter's home runs laid out showing all the different ball trails and distances. Just to jazz things up a little!

Right on, like they do with the red (?) arrows on ESPN and the number in feet on each one.

But wouldn't HR celbration camera work in this instance? In those no doubters they usually track the ball don't they?

**edit** no I guess that wouldn't help. I forgot it usually shows the batter in those.

However, If you'll notice too there is a Batting View option too in that menu. The default is catcher. So maybe, just maybe we can see the ball in the air if the batting view were changed? Crossing Fingers here...
It makes no sense to me, to tout the new broadcast cam and the long awaited homerun derby and not combine the two. I was really excited about this feature, but not anymore. If the broadcast cam is just a new camera angle to choose from, we should be able to choose it in any mode, a game, homerun derby, batting practice. Disappointed.

Yeah, they just need one set up like the "broadcast view" but shows the flight of the ball and zooms slightly to it as it leaves. Much like you would see in the HR derby.

And a recap after with the arrows and ball placements with the distance like Nemesis mentioned.

Similar to 2K, but with more "effect" and pop than what it has (the stadium nuances in The Show probably will help with it, since it wont cut away from the crowd as fast so you can see them grab the ball).
