tried some things tonight and it clearly has to do with making subs while using the dpad. While making multiple subs with the dpad the game immediately froze

I too have only see the game freeze twice and both times it was when I was using the d pad to sub late in the game. My fix it to just call a time out late in the game when i want to sub. I use the d pad to sub all the time early in the game and it never freezes.

try blues varsity set if you grab the game. The freeze issue is dodged if you skip the timeout screen and make your subs in the pause menu.

This method reduces the likelihood that you will get a freeze but it will not eliminate it. Freezes may still occur while the cpu is at the free throw line and/or when bringing the ball up the court. This happens about one to two times every 5-10 games for me. Luckily, its always happened within the first 5 - 8 minutes of the 1st half and never in the 2nd half.

Wow, terrible thing happened to me in my dynasty, and its my fault. I'm in year 3 of my dynasty, I just led my team to a 2 loss conference season. My team is pretty much a lock for the tourney so I figured I could just sim the conference tourney. Well I go to the championship and lost. Selection sunday rolls around and I'm a bubble team. We don't get into the tourney. I'm so disappointed. Instead South Alabama goes in despite having a mediocre season and us, a team who almost got in without even winning gets the boot. Oh well, still building us up. An NIT championship would be awesome.
