My god can someone explain the gameplay differences. It seems like some of you all you care about is the franchise stats. We have close to 8 or 9 pages of just states. Where is the break down on how it fixes the part of the game you actually play???

I mean come on.

Flats, Drags, Curls, etc are they all able to be completed as easy as before because of the zone depth?

Deep routes are they easier to complete when you have the right match up?

Line blocking is it better?

Someone give a good break down on the true gameplay.

I know how some people like examples so heres one and ask yourself if this sounds familar. 3rd and 8 on my 35yd line, Chiefs v. Broncos, I line up a basic screen to Savage with Chambers running a cross, Cassel gets the ball, Savage blocks a dlineman, gets pushed away and would now be open for the screen pass and a big play at that because no1 is around him now and what does he do? you know....what every NFL rb would do.... try to run after that dlineman who pushed him away! Are u kidding me? Theres your Madden logic... No logic... No patch is ever going to fix this game period!

Holy crap, has anyone noticed pancake blocking in a simmed season? It's a thing of beauty!

After one test season:

NFL leader had 25. Here is the rest of the top ten's numbers:

2 19
3 18
4 16
5 15
6 13
7 13
8 13
9 12
10 12

I don't play Madden as much as NCAA, but in NCAA, this would mean that my guys in played games could easily compete in this category.

Chill out, no one is bashing them. But people do get tired of hearing how authentic the product is when it is way off. Madden is getting better and going in the right direction. Is it still fair to us that they have an exclusive license? NO. Competition would better the Madden product by 10 times I guarantee.

I also have a little experience in programming and game design. From a sim standpoint it absolutely cannot be that difficult to get the stats in line with an average of what the numbers have been over the last 10 years or so. Not let one area suffer to correct something that really isnt that important to begin with. IE: backup RBs carries and yards in sim.

Ive said it once and ill say it again. To make a superb football game, sim and gameplay-wise. It requires people working on the project that watch a ton of football, know alot of detail, and are students of the game. EA needs to find some of those out of work coaches to come in and help them out. And some former players to help with gameplay. Get a stat guru as well.

Im not knocking EAs dev teams whatsoever, but guys with degrees in programming and game design are not going to be fully certified to make an authentic football game. Im sorry. They need the football guys in there helping them. Bottom line.

Thanks Sony, Bout to dl it.

I will try to sim games 1 by 1(not the whole season at once) and even adjust the coaching sliders so RB2 gets more carries.

Now if the YPC is the culprit, really less carries for RB1 will be the way to help. I can live w/ a higher than norm YPC if I don't see a bunch of 1,000yd rushers.

Hmm, another blunder in simmed stats perhaps:

Not a single K had a touchback all year long. I know that's really a stupid useless thing to most, but for those working on sliders it could be important.

I for one am not posting game impressions because I'm not wasting my time playing this game if I'm not convinced the franchise mode is working properly; and that includes stats.

Are the guys that are simming seasons simming them with Injuries turned on? No injuries would be a cause for insane stats
