As soon as there are any new developments about this I will be sure to inform all of you.
The game has programming errors that cause it to crash, very often, for a large number of customers. Customers who paid SIXTY DOLLARS for something that doesn't work.

To hear that EA has not even begun working on fixing this game is very disheartening.

I wonder, if 2K wasn't ready to come out next year with College Hoops 2K11 assuming they jump back in and EA jumps out, if they would at all give 2K8 an update to hold the College ball fans over for the year? I doubt it but you never know.
I wonder if 2k has been planning for a new version of CHoops. Honestly I hate 2k10 was not going to buy it but broke down and did, had it for 2 days and traded it for NCAA. With the way offenses move on both live and NCAA it puts 2k to shame. I really hope they keep moving forward with this game as it is so improved from previous years. They also owe it to a lot of loyal people to put out a patch and fix some minor issues. I am completely happy with this game but really feel for the people who can not enjoy this game because of freezing.

I am sorry for you guys who have freezing issues. You've essentially been done over for your $$.

EA did a lot to get people back on board with their products...it's kind of stunning the way they've ruined all that goodwill post the 2010 game releases.

The fellas who came here seemed legit...so I guess it's senior management directing them to move on and not support the products. No one should be angry at the producers as I doubt they are happy about all this. Same with LIVE, where members of that production team were removed from the product post release. This is the reality of big business...those fellas likely had little say in anything.

Extremely poor though. I was going to get this eventually if there was a patch that fixed a few things.

Definitely won't be getting it now.............
QFT.

I certainly appreciate the fact that we have interaction with game developers but man, it sure seems like it's more marketing than anything else. Kind of like the hype man at a rap concert, only the main act never takes the stage.

I understand these decisions are made by higher-ups, but it is still disappointing and going forward, I have to question if I'll be as vocal about issues I see in games, knowing there's a chance that once the game drops, the comments will fall on deaf ears.

When those preview videos for NCAA Basketball dropped and we learned of the dual presentation, everyone was going nuts. It was something truly revolutionary and had us all hoping for the best.

I don't think any of us expected the game to ship without bugs (what games do these days?) but at least patches are released that help solve most of the glaring issues. It's a shame that there will likely be no patch b/c it sounds like this game is a couple of small steps away from being truly great.

I was 100% convinced I was going to get this game but now, after hearing about the freezing issues, lack of CPU 3-pt. attempts and the low post shooting issues, I will either be passing on the game or picking it up at a very discounted price. I'm glad I still have a copy of 2k8 to keep me busy.

Man this kinda stinks. I have really been wanting to pick up the game but everything I read here makes me think I should just take a pass. I just hate not having a good college hoops game this time of year.

This game is worth getting IMO. Not all have had freeze issues and I know that has to be a concern of yours. I for 1 have not ever had this much fun with a game and that includes 2k8 which I loved dearly. Maybe you might want to try renting it to see before you spend the money to buy it.

This is not a bad game at all. I haven't had it crash once and don't see any obvious areas that need patching. Not saying it's acceptable that EA abandoned it like this post suggests, but maybe there isn't a patch because it's not needed right now? They have the "Dynamic Updates" which already updated the franchise mode (by including real schedules - a feature unavailable out of the box), and tweaked player and team ratings. Who works on these dynamic updates? And can they serve as patches?

How can you say it doesn't need a patch when there are ten pages of people whose games crash on them, and that's just out of the small sample size we have here?

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Patch, Most Likely Won't Happen (Pasta Padre)

What a shame.

Game is close to being a very fun game with a few tweaks. The mid-major issue kills it for me since I know I have to win my conference tournament to get in, even if I schedule Duke, UNC, MSU, Pitt, UConn, etc and beat them all then lose in my conference title game, I'm not getting in.

That was really the only patch I needed to really enjoy this game.

Bigger shame is that this game is probably dead, there's a great foundation here to grow on.
