Ugh I hate hearing that. I was going to pull the trigger today for this game on Amazon, they have it for $47. Maybe I better just wait for it to come down even more.

There are two HUGE things that we see in the college game that just aren't represented in this game:

1 - Passing the ball from the post (anyone that uses a flex style offense, the offense is BASED off of passing from the post). This NEVER happens from the CPU. I have tried different coverages, manually covering down low, upping Defensive Post Strength to 100...nothing works. This hurts me the most, because once the CPU passes down low, it's an automatic shot and really repetitive.

2 - The 3 point shot. The only way the CPU takes a 3 point shot is with an excellent 3 point shooter or if thy are down big at the end of the game. An above average shooter could be WIDE open on the 3 point line, and they just stand there.

It really upsets me, because this game is so good without these two issues, and I can really see myself playing a dynasty for a while if they were to get fixed.

completely agree....these two things are killing this game for me the most...any chance that they could be patched???

Still waiting for my copy, should get it between the 8th and the 14th, boo waiting. Only positive is some updates and hopefully some fixes, plus I don't have to wait on rosters.

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here

I watched some cpu vs. cpu games to try and get a hold on the lack of 3 point shots. It appears the 3 point rating solely determines who will shoot them and how many. If the player is rated around 70 or above he is more likely to shoot them. I am thinking if you raise most players around or above this range you could see more 3 point attempts.

Of course, then the problem of too many made creeps in. Maybe lowering CPU long range shooting would help at that point. This may take a while but I think I'm on the right track.

I don't think there is anything to do about the cpu taking that little 6 foot jump shot, but at least more 3s would mix it up a bit.

One thing i found out last night is if you play a 2-3 zone the cpu will start looking to shoot threes.
I was just messing around and started playing a zone and the cpu shot a 3 almost every possision.

There is only some partial truth to that IMO. It is more determined by what team the cpu is using. I primarily play a 2-3 zone and my opponents so far have averaged slightly less than 10 3pt attempts per game unless I am playing Duke. This is on 20-minute halves as well. Admittedly, I havne't played many teams with the caliber of 3pt shooters of Duke but most college teams will attempt at least 15 threes a game regardless of the defense played against them.

I checked www.statsheet.com and found that Evansville attempted the least number of threes last year among all 343 division 1 teams. They averaged 10 attempts per game. Yale attempted the second least least in absolute number but still averaged 12 a game. Georgetown was around the midpoint for threes taken and had an average of 18 per game. No matter which way you slice it this game needs more three point attempts by the cpu.
