Kush imploded, VC didn't scrap them. VC had no choice but to take over development for NHL2k9, and time was short. They had to allocate a team for that and the first thing they noticed was that Kush was not using VC's code libraries. 2k8 was a pretty good game, but was coded poorly. The game's code was not maintainable by the VC team. The best foot forward was to start rewriting the game, instead of building on a messy foundation.

I was told NHL uses the NBA engine now. It'll only get better from here on.

please go back to playing your nhl 10, i'm tired of hearing your b.s. you spit some raw b.s. man. you don't know, stop making assumptions, i program and i can tell you that its obvious they aren't using previous code, its called writing a new engine, after a while, you max out an engine and then you have to start again with a new one so please, its obvious your a fanboy, not that its a bad thing but take your FANBOYISM to the other forum.

He's not a fanboy, just a bitter former 2K guy who made the switch to EA. I do agree though, the same arguments over and over are getting tiresome. Now that the patch is out, hopefully it makes most of the 360 owners happy.

I said a lot of code was rewritten because Kush's code could not be maintained. I never said they wrote a new engine. Nearly 3 months were spent rewriting code due to Kush not following certain protocol.

That feel/vibe you're describing is always going to be there and it's why some prefer one game over the other.

EA's game felt the same for years and years until 09, and even then there's still a lot of the same old issues, like catch-up-goals to make up for poor AI.

And btw, C.Hoops was pulled because they broke off talks with the CLC. It had nothing to do with sales. There was a statement about this. Stop making things up.

I took a break from this forum for a while and on occasion I would pop in to see if anything has changed but I see it's still pretty much the same. Realm trying to keep up the same ridiculous, petty, mindless argument over and over again, killing threads for a game he admits to not playing anymore. Wasn't there new rules put out recently about having agenda's? You are the one and only reason why the 2k forum continues to be a mess and it's actually quite sad. I don't care if your a bitter former 2k fan, the fact that you can't get over something you don't like and constantly argue back and forth because you think the other game is better really makes this an awful forum to visit. There aren't that many people visiting this forum as it is, but to come here months after release and see that the few posts that are here mainly consist of your infantile arguing is really disappointing. You have an agenda like no other and it's really pathetic. When will you grow up and move on.
