Love that they added the "commercial break" commentary for time outs, where it shows a few replays and Nessler says, "We'll back with more college basketball on ESPN after this." DOPE.

Also, similar to Live it really pays off to run a lot of plays. Trying to freestyle all the time isn't going to get you very far.

It may be difficult to notice, but have you seen any enhancements to the "set the tempo" feature they gave us last year? Is it still as important to stick with the tempo you initially set for your team? Do you notice a drop in performance from either your players or the CPU when they play ouside their tempo?
I honestly don't see any differences between the "set the tempo" feature this year vs last year. Its still best for your team to play at its desired tempo to elminate missed shots and turnovers.

Speeding up a half court team will result in them turning the ball over more and them missing more shots. But again, its the same as last year as far as I can tell.

So far all I see it the shaking of the screen. More time will probably be needed to see what, if any, additional benefits are received from being the home team.

So when a commercial break happens it's because of a timeout called by you or the cpu, or are there actually TV timeouts during the game?

^ I believe they show the replays after fouls too occassionally. All I know is there definitely an adequate amount of replays in this game.

Presentation is top notch.

Just got a highlight package for Harangody after a foul was called. Had the real-life ESPN swipe that said his name, then showed 3-4 plays of him scoring and Nessler talking about how he's having a big night so far.

I'm trying to keep my level excitement in check because this is how I felt after playing Live initially and the high died pretty quickly. I'm really digging the game so far, tweaks are definitely needed but so far I'm liking it.

The CPU seems to recognize open shots way better than in Live and will read the D a little more, I saved a replay of me slacking on off ball D (I was playing with the sub menu) and Tory Jackson went backdoor and the CPU hit him and it didn't look like it was part of a set play.

The CPU also does not run a play every single time down the court like last year, they'll pick and roll and just improvise a little bit, it's been a good mix so far.

I also like that when you press Start to pause the game there is a game reset that shows score, time, fouls, timeouts left, etc.

The presentation in this game is absolutely stunning.

Alright guys, couple questions, one specific.

How is this game compared to CH2k8? What are the differences, similarities? It seems like EA has taken several pages from CH's book, which is always a good thing. 2k basketball is all I've ever known, and have never really been able to get into EA basketball, too arcadey. Is this a step in the right direction (and I mean towards 2k) and how big a step?

And can anyone please, please check if there's a #10 guard on Richmond, freshman? He's one of my good friends and was on my HS team last year, and would love to play as him since he scored his first collegiate points last night as a walk-on.

I don't see a #10 on Richmond.
