I played 9 games last night on All-American difficulty playing nothing but zone defense(mostly 2-3), but as dook I ran the 1-3-1 and the cpu ate the zone up. They didn't turn the ball over, throw defelected passes, they used penetration to collapse the zone and kicked out for 3's or they got the ball to the high post to run their offense.

It was great to see.

The context isn't perfect but it's pretty good.
Yeah, there are times where the block animations look good, as there was one instance where I blocked a weak layup into the stands. But most of the time they are messy as you said.

does it have rim and net animations ...for example are there some shots that go in that are not swishes..in 2k8 it could rattle around swish bounce or whatever n go in....like if the ball goes in on the right side does the net swish in the right direction...

haven't seen bounce in's or the ball hitting the rim and going in on jump shots, but in close you'll see the ball bounce around the rim at times before falling in.

I mean how can you release not one but two basketball games where players don't have any awareness.............

They just run scripted plays and take shots that the plays calls for without actually deviating from the play if a guy is wide open for an open shot backdoor.
Wow. In Live if I switch to a zone I may force a turnover. But, if I stay in the zone for any period of time I'll get crushed and the turnovers cease.

You're playing the demo right? For a second I thought you had the game.

Exactly CB - played zone exclusively last night and didn't see anything as bad as last year, not even close really. This game is going to be pretty damn good.... my only concern right now is the AI taking repeated shots from the blocks, I'd be ok with it if they were hook shots or driving to the hoop, but they seem to be content passing inside and facing up before taking the shots. My only gripe so far.

Can't wait until Tuesday.
