I really loved this game out of the box. Really loved it.

The patch added so many new things... it just feels as though it needs one more patch to refine, tone down and tweak all these new additions.

Devs, you've made an awesome game. Please give it that extra spit and polish it deserves.

Whilst the fixes all look good on paper, I just didn't think it was that broke in the first place.

No more new stuff. You've know got all the parts you need for this year's game. But please, just one more patch to refine it.

Bring back that beautiful out of the box feel. *

* I know it wasn't perfect out of the box, but you know what I mean.
Well put, the developers deserve credit for a very good out of the box game. sure it wasnt perfect but way better than what has ever been put out IMO.

It felt like the game "rewarded" me for playing sim pre-patch, but doesn't anymore. Example: If I switched to an off ball slasher/jump shooter, called for a screen, got open, called for the ball and put up a 15-foot jump shot just like I see in real life, it was money. Now it feels like a coin toss whether the shot will go through the net or not. This is the persistant problem with basketball video games from the beginning - you can never count on an open jump shot going in, therefore players go for the highest statistical chance of scoring points - a track meet dunk contest.

I was praising the hell out of this game pre-patch - everything just felt right. For the first time in my basketball loving life, I felt like a basketball video game actually played right. Now it just feels like every other basketball game I've ever played - which means an unclear objective of "playing right" and still winning.

Basketball is my favorite sport to watch and to play in real life. But in video games, basketball is usually the sport I never play - can't put my finger on it, but it feels like there's no strategy or chess match going on. Now NBA Live 10 feels like that too.
Yes, that's it. That's exactly how I feel.

Yes, you can say "Ball collision is much better." But does that actually make for a more satisfying and fun experience, when it makes it much more difficult to pull off a fundamentally sound, off ball catch and shoot.

I don't want to be in a situation where I need to remove the patch just so I can get that original feel back.

Demo = showed potential
Release = potential fulfilled
Patch = shows potential
Patch 2? = potential fulfilled???

You can do it Devs. Tune this game so that it's purring like a kitten again. Then walk off into the sunset leaving us drooling at the prospect of Live 11.

I would have been supportive of a patch that fixed straight up problems (fatigue not working, substitutions, J.R. Smith shooting 50 3-pointers online and making 50% of them) - but this patch turned NBA Live 10 into a different game. It feels different, it plays different. That's not a welcome change considering I loved the game.
Again, I totally agree. All it needed was a patch to fix the obvious issues.

At the request of the NBA Live 10 Community, the NBA Live 10 Developers move the NBA Live 10 couch to the room upstairs.

After nearly breaking their backs to do so... "There you go. It's just where you wanted it."

Smiling coyly, the NBA Live 10 Community replies "Um, we kinda like it where it was in the first place. Can you move it back?"

Pared, I'm still loving the game, post patch. Played a good game with the Mavs against the Wiz. The CPU didn't jack up shots with Washington; they took time to set up their offense instead of 1 pass and then launching a jumper.

Dirk is a beast in the game. His fadeaway from 15-18 feet is downright nasty.

The game feels a lot smoother and more refined with the patch. Driving the lane is better than it was previously, although it's not as easy to get into the paint uncontested, which I think, is a good thing.

You are still rewarded for playing smart basketball.

Only glitch I've seen is the goaltending one where you are not awarded the 2 points.

Question, I know they said they included a post-up button ... what is it?

Other than that, I'm loving this game and just waiting for the Dynamic Season to fully kick in. I think once we start getting those updates, we'll be happy campers.

Basketball is my favorite sport to watch and to play in real life. But in video games, basketball is usually the sport I never play - can't put my finger on it, but it feels like there's no strategy or chess match going on. Now NBA Live 10 feels like that too.

On a different topic, how come "clear path to the basket" fouls don't result in free throws? Also, it seems if a player gets fouled in a non-shooting situation, but throws the ball up AFTER the whistle blows, the player gets to shoot free throws. WTF?

In my opinion, the only things the patch should have fixed is people being able to have a single player shoot 19 for 40 on 3-pointers, fatigue, and sub issues.

I have also noticed post patch that players who are waiting in the corner for a 3-point shot now come in towards the paint when you draw their defenders away from them. Example, Leandro Barbosa is waiting on the wing for one of his open threes, I (playing as Steve Nash) run into the paint to draw his defender away, and then freestyle pass it to Leandro. Only problem is, Leandro is now running into the paint with me back towards his defender - whereas before he patiently waited on the wing unguarded for an open 3.

I also think the "back down" button (clicking R-stick) should be limited to close to the basket situations. Sometimes I accidentally click down on R-stick while performing dribbling moves with R-stick, and it looks absolutely ridiculous to see Steve Nash in a "back down" stance at half court. This is like Ghost Recon mapping the gun zoom-in button to clicking the R-stick where the R-stick already controlled your camera/looking around. What happens is you run into an opponent by surprise, both of you running past eachother, and instead of turning around to kill or be killed, you're both in zoom in mode, or "panic zoom" by mistake.
This...This is exactly what I'm feeling. Every single thing you said, word for word, expresses exactly what I'm feeling about this game right now. LOVED IT since day 1, HATE IT since yesterday.

The only thing I'd like to add is regarding the "size up moves". Pre patch, when a size up move was done by a superstar, it felt like you had a more successful chance of the ball going in, whereas now, not only do you not get the basket, but your pulled into a collision animation and no foul is called. It almost felt rewarding to get the shot to drop as well as being a counter for the cheese tactics happening online. It was like a sure bucket, which I can also see as being a problem. But in my opinion, they over exaggerated everything they changed in this post, while leaving out the most important things: Fatigue, sub menus and 3 point field goals. This patch is a complete let down, IMO. It essentially rewards cheesers even more now. Now there is no way to counter them. Playing good sim basketball doesn't cut it, at least not for me. I hope the developers are paying attention to this thread.

Really concerned by what I am reading...seems like the patch lessened the game instead of enhancing it for alot of you who have the patch. An EA patch taking a game backwards...unfortunately that seems eerily familiar
