Man, hopefully this is just the foundation for the DNA to fill in the gaps....im really not feeling the majority of the patch. Alot has been sured up...no one can dispute that...but it seems they tweaked alot of what I liked about gameplay unecessarily...

I am the opposite. I exaust all possibly remedies to the allstar cpu elite team ai codes before i come on to the forum to post. So when i post a concern it is a concern from countless playing strategies that failed to work for allstar default sliders.

I am testing post patch play against the elite teams to gage how the games play out for 11 and 12 minute quarters. In a dyansty you may have some average teams here and there in the schedule that would change the complex of the game to were the games are winnable and less of the cpu juggernaut from the elite teams. My post concern was from mainly playing the elite teams.

I have put crash boards, auto crash boards, let my cpu ai go for rebounds, hum go for rebounds, on ball defense, double team defense zone defenses man to man defense. Calling timeouts. Its like when that allstar cpu ai code kicks in your players get dumbed down on the boards. Your defenders jumping with a hand in the face means nothing with cpu hitting from beyond the 3 point line like it was nothing.

There times when you have them backed up they go into a post up mode from beyond the 3 point line, then quickly chuck up a shot for swish.

I dont understand why my cpu ai teamates do not have this same allstar ai code to even the playfield. But to each is own if your able to win on allstar default against the elite teams without the unstoppable hot streaks, or juggernaut offensive boards then all the power to you man. I can only post what i am witnessing while playing numerous games.

Guess I'm in the minority when I say the game has taken a turn for the better.

Previously, NBA players would lose the ball a large time they went into the paint. This is the NBA we're talking about. Guys fumbling around a basketball like it was a hot potato. Most guys can keep control of a ball in the post, they just force up a bad shot due to help defense or they bring it back out.

So, help D is still there. Deflections are there. Stupid passes result in steals.

I would like to see freestyle passing be a little, TINY bit less successful. It's almost a gimme at this point once you beat your man. It doesn't seem ratings based, and that could be the problem. I can successfully freestyle pass to someone at the same completion rate with a guy like Rondo and a guy like Eddie House.

And I personally didn't see the offense get into their playsets at a ridiculously high level, compared to real life. Pre-patch, Live felt too slow offensively when the CPU was in control. Things look better, especially after having some recent games to compare to.

The added button for posting up is fantastic. Helps out a LOT.

The OT glitches kill it for me though. I guess I can play and if a goaltending happens make sure to win the game by 2 and not end up in a tie... but that to me is just ridiculous. Probably my only REAL gripe with this patch.

Pared...you seem somewhat close to the staff of EA or however you tend to get some information before most of us. Have you heard if they plan on at least addressing some of the issues? I do recall yesterday they did state the OT issue would be looked into. We have not heard from them since...thought you might have an update or some inside info.

Something of this nature I don't see them just telling me. I would think it's a sensitive topic that will be addressed appropriately by their community manager or devs. when they know for sure.

I'm with you on the patch, Pared... I like it overall, just wish it hadn't broken some other things with its arrival. The improvements they made are all great though.
