EA will never go to a 2 year cycle either, doesn't make sense from a business aspect. They've got the marketing down to a science so don't look for that to change.
This is true. Pushing it back a few months would only help for the first year it's done. After, it's back to the 12mo. cycle.

There's also the issue of the NFL (which also impacts the release date and the idea of a 2-year cycle as well). For most of these licensed games, the developers are hamstrung by the granter's timetable. Meaning, in the case of Madden, the NFL has a big say when Madden gets released. It coincides with their own seasonal kickoff promotions, etc.

In the end, t does essentially come down to money, of course...just simply not all on the part of EA. I'm willing to bet this is one of the struggles between the developers and the suits that the developers have either learned to accept, or always lose...lol.

I completely understand this and agree, but they need to bite the bullet and do this one year (this year would have been nice). If the could have released this game a month or more later to include everything that had to be patched, they could focus the entire next twelve months on Madden 11 instead of sharing some, even a little big of M11 time fixing M10.

We already have 6'6" WR's who cant jump because of "rocket catch". If they want to Fix the Online game have someone like a moderator for these games. I do not understand why the whole game is changed just for the online play. I could care less about playing online.

Still no ability to modify scores nor have the ability to scrim inside the franchise leagues with newly traded players.

Madden, like all other sports games were made to be played head to head. Competition. "Season" and "franchise" modes weren't around from the beginning. Some of us could care less about beating up on the CPU over and over. The AI will NEVER come close to playing against a real human opponent, never. That is neither here nor there though.

The GAMEPLAY and anything that is an exploit, or a glitch, is EA's responsibility to get right, or correct if they mess up. Just because you don't play online means the mass amount of other people who do play head to head should suffer?

Here's a novel idea, how about all of us, every single Madden consumer EXPECT MORE from Tiburon all around? Why can't the franchise CPU guys get everything they are looking for from that aspect of the game while at the same time they actually get right the gameplay?

There is no doubt some people will always "try" and cheat, but that doesn't mean EA shouldn't fix it, or get it right from the beginning. We are paying a premium price for these games. 59.99 is not "chump change" these days, especially when you consider for that same 59.99 you could get a REALLY great, POLISHED game like COD: MW2.

I agree with some of guys in here, you have to fix the gameplay offline before you can fix the online,I mean I just can care less about the online aspect

It is ONLY October 20th, so that's 11 more days before you can even expect new information, if anything, nevermind the patch itself.

Be real. Be logical.

This sh*t ain't coming out 'til we are well into November.
Agree. With all the fighting in here, the mods should lock this thread until Nov 1st.

Can you even imagine if they were to do that. People get mad when the games don't drop before the pre-season, could you imagine what people would do if the game didn't drop until week 6!!!!
