I saw some videos and when it's tip-off the camera angle seems very low for me. And it's hard to see the players jumping becuase of all players around. Do you guys find it interrupting, or it's not an issue?

Just saw a pass go off Howard's leg out of bounds. The Magic got possession.

Another observation...

For 2K to be the "lead" sim title, I find the strategic areas of the game lacking a bit. There is little rhyme or reason to formulating a particular defense to defend against a certain team.

The reward system is just not there.

It seems as though, no matter how solid you play on the defensive end, the computer AI allows a play that defeats logic.

Player tendencies should factor more into the defensive strategy but I just don;t feel like that's happening....

I disagree. I've been able to stop the cpu from scoring the ways it is TRYING to score. If you stay tight on Lewis and Carter that makes the main option getting the ball to Dwight and you can stop that by doubling him in the paint or getting good help D from Gasol.

The players are doing what they should, the jump shooters are taking the open shots and guys like Carter and Kobe are doing a little bit of both.

Just watched a few CPU vs CPU games and they looked good with the star players getting the ball when it mattered. For example, down two with 4.5 seconds remaining the Lakers gave the ball to Kobe who hit the 3. Lakers Win!

Is there a way to sub players? The CPU subs players.

Maybe later I'll stream some games.
Commish please read the TOS you can not start referring to yourself in the 3rd person until you get to a minimum 1,000 posts. J/K
I don't believe we can sub in the demo Sir !

Welcome to the OS optimus. Pared said there is a slider that can help with not being in control on the defensive side of the ball at least. so the final may give you more than what your currently feeling control wise.

Maybe I didn't get specific enough...

Due to the shaky AI on defense, you have to adapt not only to the offensive strategy, but to the shortcomings of the game logic.

So, whatever adjustments are made, are made with the reality that you will eventually have to compensate for bad rotations, players being left open, and blown assignments.

I don't get the feeling with NBA 2K that pure defensive skill can stop the offense. Although I can shut the computer down, it's not through true basketball strategy. It's via a hodgepodge of adapted "cheese" to compensate for what the AI is prone to do.

When you have a proper set of sliders input, the CPU won't shoot 80% when you play proper defense against them. The default difficulty levels in the game are half of the problem IMO.
