peyton and brady throw lots of passes of the mark, but they are masked by the excellent receivers that surround them.
another thing this game lacks is the ability for the receiver to make adjustments and to go get the ball thus bailing the QB out of a bad toss or a toss that is of the mark.

I've never seen a pass thrown way off like that, maybe its just you.

If you're seeing such off-the-mark passes, I wonder if you are perhaps holding the L stick more than you realize. A few things:

1. If you try to lead your receivers by holding the L stick prior to hitting the throw button, you will often trigger a "throw on the run" type animation or throw (and quite likely cause more governance form the corresponding rating...something likely to impact all QBs, but more negatively effect the likes of more pocket oriented passers like a Peyton Manning).

Watch closely to see if you are doing this. I caught myself doing it while shuffling around in the pocket and leaning on the L stick while I was passing.

2. If you are leading the pass after the throw, then you may just be applying too much pressure. It's especially easy to do on the 360 (for me at least) as their seems to be a dead spot before it's effect is felt on the stick. This causes an instinct to mash the button to whatever position you're trying to lead, and ends up putting too much influence on the throw...often times causing complete misses of your target.

3. If this is something you've mainly noticed post-patch, then it could simply be the change to slider effectiveness showing through on whatever sliders you use. It may be time to revisit them, if you haven't already. That's assuming you mess with them at all. If you don't, it may be time to play around with the Human accuracy slider.

I haven't run onto your issues, so hopefully some of this helps out. I personally think they've got the accuracy balanced better than ever (for the Madden series, anyway). Might not be for everyone though. Try some of that out if you haven't already, and see how it goes.

EDIT: As for dropped passes, I agree it's a bit more difficult to get a proper balance. I don't think it's that bad, but it's something that could probably still use some future tweaking.

Thanks I'll look into that.

What's up with the new "frame-rate" problem caused by the patch? Seems like any time I get a RB into a full sprint, he has this jerky, hesitation running movement .... anyone else seeing this?
