I just can not agree with you on the whole cpu does not run the ball statement. In my fantasy draft franchise right now I am 3-2 and have allowed the most running yards in the NFL, and am one of the best pass defenses. I use custom sliders. That is all.

i have had some games where the computer has only ran the ball 4-5 times a half. This is playing against running teams...maybe i just have to play a lil more, and see what happens

I agree with the pass rush. Its tough to get there. And, the QB (Ryan, at least) is just getting rid of the ball as I'm about to sack him. Maybe that will be toned down just a bit for patch 2. I want to be reasonable here. A lot of good QB's do get rid of the ball. I just want it to be a bit less frequent.

yeah use the coaching slider to test this out. i have gotten very realistic play calling. you need to test this in a franchise though.

i think dfos's original slow sliders with some tweaks are very good right now. using his original coach sliders, i have found the blitzing to be toned down a lot. you still get the occassional all out blitz, but after a few games i noticed this won't happen all the time on the 3rd and long. this of course, makes it more realistic and harder as you won't have a guaranteed first knowing the CPU will be leaving the slot guy open. i found perfect sliders for me right now that i'm going to post in his new thread later on.

for the pass rush, i was hoping the slider would be more effective. it seems like it's unchanged which was a big letdown for me. and yeah, i agree about the Robo-QB. it really better be tweaked in patch 2.

Pretty much everything is as is ......I think i change cpu run to 90 ...Brk tak to 40 cpu

Why are ppl saying the run block is better and ppl cant gain as much yardage now? i remember b4 patch. ppl were complaining about its hard to run the ball. Im not even sure if EA fixed anything in this patch at all. I think im not gonna buy madden 11 till i play and see that tackles are physics based. and gameplay isnt broken. Which is said becuz ive bought every madden since 99 and after 04 the game went down hill

No way is this fixed yet, get outside on a running play and I still see the CPU taking horrible angles, I see guys running backwards and straight downfield even though they have an angle.

They are giving me an extra 20-30 yards before they even attempt to use their angle. Even though they're ahead of me and have an angle to tackle me they are running parallel to the running back.

Agreed. I think it's easier to run to the outside now. You'll also notice that linebackers and safeties will start flowing to the outside on a toss or stretch play, but sometimes stop whenever the running back gets the ball, and then start pursuing again, even though their angle is now gone. I'm pretty sure the angles have gotten worse since the patch.
