This is very true and I do the same thing, though if I get too close guys will blow by me - not just Kobe. I love that I finally get punished for closing out too aggressively or being up in a guy's face when I shouldn't be.

But as far as staying in front of a guy it works wonderful, I control my defender just like I would guard a slasher in real life. Give him a step or two and force him to take a jumper but be close enough so I can at least get a hand up and challenge the shot but of course have no intentions of blocking it. And there is no more "isomotion or quick strike cross overs four times til I get by a defender" nonsense in this game.

Nope they don't need to hire anyone.......

I don't think we can actually do their job. I just think their GAME TESTERS need to be more dedicated and FOCUSED.

I'm not sure how many TESTERS a company employees.....they seem to have short hours or something because even if some people don't want to admit it there are some BASIC basketball things done wrong and a good tester would report it right away not after the game or demo is released and then say they will patch it later.

I don't think their jobs are easy at all and i know they work hard but I'm sure there are quite a few of us that do wonder why something that has been bad for years is still in the game and why the testers can't seem to see it every year but the communities point it out in a short amount of time.

Marcus if your reading this man......you have a very good game but the AI needs to be stepped up buddy they make terrible decisions. There are some other small issues man but forget it just look to improving the AI for NBA Live 11.

Kobe should be the SMARTEST player on the floor not just the best scorer.

Make Kobe punish people if they double him, the man has been in the Triangle offense most of his NBA Career. He knows where his guys should be and he knows where the ball should go even if the play breaks down. I don't feafr Kobe if he's not shooting and we all know Kobe is more than just a scorer. He's a playmaker he creates shots for others and if you double team him you should pay the price at times.

If this was just Jason Terry I'd understand he's just a scorer but we are talking about Kobe and even Vince Carter who see's the floor very well that's why the guy had a high assist avg last year with the Nets. These guys do other things besides shoot.

There should be some kind of procedural awareness where these guys are programmed to think outside the box not just percentages that tell them when to shoot or where to drive.

This is my take

Playmakers' work on editing gave me as well as some others as they can tell you, a lot of gametime and enjoyment out of a used copy of live 06. That game was unfinished and broken, missing features, 4 total plays and just a mess of a project.

Him adding classic players and so on was great. He's good at what he does but let's not mistake this team for the one who screwed up the series. No offense but hopping on their throats

To not write a book, this is just an impressions thread, not a thread to smash a demo and go on about the work history of playmakers.

I think its gotten way off course and to that ill add that there will definitly a medium for that kind of discussion.

If you haven't noticed, there will be no responses here from the devs because one this is just the wrong thread for this, two there is a retail we haven't played yet with fixes, three, there is a patch after that.

After the end, there will be a thread or two or three or whatever because iminurbase asked for a live 11 wishist weeks ago, but we can't give a complete assessment until after the above paragraph.

There are changes coming to the series we can at least see that, and that is what the talk and discussions are for. We know they're now listening to us and care which is not a confidence we had in the past.

Whether you like the demo or not its definitely not a gimmick nor is it the same ole same ole.

While I don't disagree with playmakers work, what I don't agree with is thrashing a demo impressions thread over and over, even before we play the final post patch.

Its a demo with audio that has its problems. They fixed a lot of leftover crap. I don't see them being lazy or trying to hoodwink the fanbase with things like ft line dunks with dr j, or past pr damage control.

This demo is what it is, and if it gives you more of a headache than enjoyment, delete it. The full will be out soon. When th devs do ask for that input, give them what you think or know will help

His comments were far from "thrashing."

I'm sure he'll change his tune in some areas once the final is released and he'll have a chance to play.

But to label his comments as such because they focused on what he did not like is a means of squashing any sort of negative discussion here. As long as there is a balance, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.

Have to agreee with your post for the most part 23! Like the demo or not, but don't judge the full game for it.. If you don't wanna pick up the full game based on the demo? Don't! That's what demo's are for... I also had some complaints about the demo, but am excited about the giant leap which was made and will be buying and playing the full game day one. After a few weeks I will know where Live 10 stands for me personally...

I said I respect his work but this is a demo impressions thread not one to go on and on and on in about what needs to be fixed because its not the right medium and that there will definitly be space for it

Now thrashing has definitley happened though in the stickies mostly the PS3 thread, but the particular names doesn't matter

Its a freaking demo... Anybody expecting greatness out of it set their own failure of expectation

My mistake then; Perhaps you misworded your comments. You went and discussed Playmakers work and seemingly singled him out, despite saying this shouldn't be about one poster.

I would agree that no one should be expecting greatness. Take the game for what it offers, nothing more, nothing less, and enjoy yourself. The final should be a bit better. At least the demo allows everyone to get a better idea of what the final will offer: a solid basketball game that excels in some areas and can provide a great NBA experience.

Certainly raises the bar for next year, though.

I've said it before and above but anyone making a playable game out of live 06 wth limited tools knows something

Forget 07 and08 because just ugh

that was the point though in calling his name out

That said its a waste to spend this much energy on a broken demo the devs didn't even see till we pointed stuff out.

We know some of the stuff like continual ripping and players standing around are at least touched on when looking at the video from pastas site and the gameplay vid released by mike

Other than that, I'm about done with the demo myself and I'm just ready to play basketball.
