I don't see how they will change it, certainly not before release. It has been the same since they moved over to the current gen systems.

I am going to try real hard to get back into the demo, but I have a hard time playing before getting bored as I can't do another year of this same fatal flaw. I doubt tactics will do anything as they didn't do much if anything at all last year. The game seems programmed to be a super speed spaz fest which is a shame. A teaser back pass here or there, but right after that slam on the gas and go forward as fast as you can time.

There will be no way to change tactics in MM once you start. I assume there will still be 28 slots so that is another epic fail they probably are not even aware of. So you can fix one and a half leagues if the tactics even work as they should.

This game does alot right, but just as much wrong. Both games have gaping holes in them. Might just be FM time, or else back to PES on the PC if I can even get it to work. Sad, I will give it an honest effort though.

When you play against another human opponent, most play in all-out attack mode anyway. Seriously, when you play against another person, are you passing the ball along the backline?

I had a really good time with the game. Can't wait for the retail version.

Human opponents are human opponents. I already stated I play offline, and that is the issue, CPU AI. You are comparing apples to oranges. Playing against another human is just like playing ncaa or madden online; if they play real ball I play real ball, and it's great; but unfortunately most of time it's like CPU AI in FIFA push forward, push forward, push forward.

This is 1 of the Reasons I'm not getting FIFA 10. The CPU A.I in FIFA 10 does the Same Thing whenever it has Possession of the Ball and doesn't Resemble Real Futbol ( Soccer ). The CPU A.I in FIFA 10 no matter the Team simply Passes Forward, Dribbles around the Defense, Passes Forward, Dribbles around the Defense and then Shoots, Rinse and Repeat.

I don't play online, but if I did I would want to play 15 or 20 minutes halves to enjoy football. Otherwise I see no point in playing. So during the course of the match maybe I would pass it along my backline or back in forth in the mid to keep possession and play tactical football. That is how the sport is played.

You can play it as you like, but I have an issue with playing that way, hence my issue with the game in general.

Just some general comments. I would love to play tactical football, but this game doesn't allow that against the CPU anyways as the pitch scale is way too small and its flies on **** mentality so you have no space with the ball at all. Another major flaw that in no way accurately represents the sport. It is a big reason for the back and forth pinball play. You can get up and down the pitch like nothing, no way that should be possible.

I don't want to be a bad guy, that always comes in here and complains. I try to have intelligent discussions without trolling. I want this to be the best game out there, they just seem to have little clue in how to represent the sport. Harsh perhaps, but what else am I suppose to think after three years of this? They must have spent all of their time on animations which are amazing and top notch, but big deal if the gameplay is awful.

One last point, and this will touch on another fatal flaw. Just got home from the gym and look at the scores. Arsenal trashing Wigan 4-0. Who scored Arsenal's first two goals? Vermaelen who can play on the wing, but usually is central in defense. The odds that against the CPU a defensemen scores twice in the normal course of play as he did? Impossible, just will never happen. Almost impossible even on set plays.

Why is that? Can you imagine if in Madden if running backs could never score against you, or in NBA Live/2K if the point guard never scored against you? The outrage would be out of control. I go to the EA FIFA UK forums and never see a peep about this. I just don't get it. This game is just stale, and not organic enough. Everyone on the pitch is capable of scoring, in this game the programming negates that.

Also in that match fouls 20 for Wigan to 8 for Arsenal. Why do you think that is? If they didn't foul them like this, it would have been 6 or 7 -0. They can't keep up so they have to foul to stop momentum. I can't fully comment on fouls as of yet, but for once will it be accurate in this game?

If you have the better side, you should earn more fouls. Or will the CPU Wigan be able to just kick your *** and foul you all over the pitch and take the ball without it being called?

Couldn't have said it better myself. Especially the FIFA boards comment. There are a handful of what I would actually call SIM guys that post there, but for the most part it's a bunch of teenagers that think FIFA is "realistic" because they have the license/uniforms and good graphics.

The developers post in that forum and the game, to their credit, is designed around the feedback from that Community. Again, props them for "listening", but that community seems to be more concerned with trick moves, online rankings, and highlight reel goals.

There has been a big push on the EA boards for changes/improvements to MM and the design team responded, but it's very rare that anyone ever posts anything about the lack of fouls, teams playing the same, and the fastbreak style football that plagues this game. Very frustrating.

I'm not completely down on FIFA 10 because I do notice some great things about the game. Maybe changes in CTT will help a little.

In terms of fouls, no football game does this. Period! The other game used to have more fouls but now it's damn near impossible to draw them. Maybe this will be changed for the current version.

And no football game gets the interaction between the player with the ball and the defender. The defender should not try always shoulder tackle the dribbler. Any good player would just dribble around the defender. What this does is create a game that doesn't allow for proper 1-on-1 battles.

Both things frustrate me with both games!

I agree with the part that not enough non-strikers score goals. Maybe it will be addressed with the game. Players don't leave their position enough and help in support. I think EA just needs to program "crashing" the box AI. As in any real game, you'll see AM, MF, WB crash the box when necessary. You'll even see players like Ashley Cole, take it on the wing and send in a cross. FIFA needs to work on this.
