The way the AI players actually move the ball around as opposed to just going forward without any regard to strategy has not gone without my appreciation.

I agree. I was counting back passes in the last game. Something I could never do in FIFA 09 or previous years.

I've been really impressed by the demo so far but I do have a large niggling concern that has already been voiced here - the CPU always plays the same way no matter which team it is. And that style of play generally consists of working it up the field as quickly as possible with passes/dribbling between the forwards and wingers and then a cross/shot from distance.

There's no semblence of build-up play from the CPU and I have very rarely seen them play a ball BACKWARDS to a player who is under less pressure. Hopefully this will be addressed by the time the game ships (or at the very least can be adjusted on a per-team basis by the tactics sliders) but I think even with this problem I'm enjoying the demo so much that FIFA 10 is a must buy for me this year

Yup yup. Still the same. Though, I did see a forward from Marseille get the ball just outside the box and tried to C. Ronaldo me. That was something new.

Like you, I'm enjoying the demo and will simp myself a copy.

I have been seeing back passes - to the goalie especially, in FIFA for the last few years, I stopped playing FIFA 09 after a month and went back to 08, I prefer the pace of that game. My big problem has always been the camera angle, it was impossible pulling off moves/tricks using the dynamic camera angle. I could not get used to the pro view no matter how many times I tried it.

Once I tried PES 09, I never went back to FIFA. As already stated by anumber of posters, the AI in PES is excellent compared to FIFA. Have you ever watched/specatated a PES game? Its a thing of beauty to watch the CPU move the ball around the pitch. If I could get PES with the FIFA graphics and team licenses - I would probably never play any other video game.

I've been going back and fort between FIFA 09 and FIFA 10 and the more I do this the more I appreciate 10. The game play and freedom of movements and runs are head and shoulders above 09.

So far the only thing I don't like about 10 is that I can't play a full game yet.

Please FIFA team fix this, if you do, you got my $60. I am not a online player so CPU AI is important to me, and anyone on this forum saying the AI builds up play, or maybe some mid field play, is lying flat out. This to me is the only thing keeping me from making a first day purchase. I tried PES demo and the CPU definitely, without a doubt, has build up play and midfield play; but is so bare bones otherwise. please, please, please FIFA, fix this. If there is a fix for this; please let me know, am I missing something?

The main issue we run into now is not being able to implement custom tactics, and that it's such short halves.
