Right, that's how I look when I skate. I want the animations to look like NHL players skating.

lol, no. But with the arm swinging from side to side , that is something very natural to hockey players. I see it in this video. Whatever though, no big deal, i won't buy this game solely for the skating animations.

There's not enough movement and swing in the upper body for one thing. You can see it when they pass the puck -- their shoulders/arms barely move.

The problem from years past that they mostly fixed is the stick and how it's being held. The last couple of years, players held their sticks too high up on the shaft and too close to their torso. That's what gives them their "skating with stick in butt" look. That animation can still be seen, but they seem to have added upper body movement animations so it's not as continuious and noticable.

The skating with one hand on the stick looks really good. It's the stickhandling with two hands while slowly moving up the ice that looks odd.
But again, it won't prevent me from playing this game.

I guess I'm pretty shallow. The main reason I didn't buy 2K9 was because of the player models and skating animations. I fully expect both these issues to be completely overhauled and fixed. There's simply no excuse at this point. Year-five on next-gen, and going up against the competition and other games like NHL 09 and FIFA which have absolutely outstanding player models and animations.
