Re: 2K Sports Unveils Features for NHL 2K10 (Press Release)

Like I said it all comes down to me when I scored a goal. I like the presentation in 2k way better than EA's. So yes that is why I am even more excited that they even fixed that this year too. I thought it was great last year. EA's is just so flat. I hope they go crazy on that next year. Any ways I like what I am hearing and seeing from 2k10. This is the game I want the most out of any game right now. So I am pumped for September. With better graphics and more animations I am sold. One more thing. Like I said before. By the time the games come out. See who has more info and videos out? I think it will be about the same for both games. One puts out the info early and one puts them out late, but by the end it is all about the same. And like KC said all 2k has to do is make a rock solid game and people will buy it.

Some of you guys are amazing why do you care or get so defensive if Scott or anyone likes 2k over EA
Its like a sickness to some of you , we all know your getting EA myself included at this point but you seem to get more joy backhandely commenting on 2k then actually talking about NHL10 ?
Its like some of you guys have a agenda give a backhanded shot and then a so so shot and then kinda a good thing then a prayer of hope for poor 2k and then a well lets see more.
Me personally Im not here to play games and mince words and I dont always explain myself well but Im always honest in what I do and dont like .............
Somebody mentioned they loved 2k9 on the ps2 and I couldnt understand why but to hear the passion in his words it really taught me something .
So I can respect Joeblow who likes to play zamboni races cause hes happy and really isnt that all that matters .

So the presentation makes you feel rewarded even if its generally a shot that SHOULD have been stopped yet the AI driving the goaltenders is so downright awful you prolly shouldn't have gotten the goal in the first place.

Thats what gets me with 2k9, theres so many head shaking instances on scoring chances that end up in the net due to either bad positioning or a lack of reaction, no 5 man hug after the fact really would help me personally feel any more rewarded. If the AI actually is completely rewritten in a single year (which I still think is just a bullet point) it'll be moot, but I still want to SEE it for myself before I think of dropping the cash on 2k10.

The reason I like this game more is the goal celebration and the animations. I for one enjoy the debating. Even though sometimes it gets overdone. It is still done with respect and I feel like it is basically adults talking with adults. Can't really say that about some of the other forums.

Basically. I think the goals in this game is more realistic. I feel like I have a chance to score a goal, because the goalies play more human like in the other game the goalies played like robo goalie. I like the human error factor. AI is important to you it is to me too, but graphics and presentation is more important to me. To me this game is more alive! This game will be better than last years and that is all I wanted. So I am pumped for this game.

One thing I would really kill for NHL 10 to have that 2K9 had was the specific goal announcements after a score. Like, in San Jose (obviously because they're all SJ fanboys lol) they have the keyboard sound that's used in the HP Pavillion Center after announcing who scored and who assisted. I noticed in places like Chicago they have the old timey organ, and in Carolina it plays the tarzan sound whenever someone scores. Stuff like that is really cool and there's really no way to add that into EA's games as far as custom soundtracks go. I've always liked that authenticity about 2K9.

However, that's not enough to keep me playing the game alone, but the attention to detail is always enough to keep me looking at 2K's sports titles, not just hockey.

That is what I like about it. When I am playing in other Arenas that stuff really stands out.

I agree. It's more authentic. It has more personality. What's bad for some people is great for someone else. I personally think the A.I. is challenging and realistic for me. But what good would an outstanding A.I. be if the overall atmoshpere and presentation were dull. I have a hard time liking games that don't get those 2 things right.
