Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

One more thing that I just saw, I'm loving the fact that DB's/LB's don't make plays on the ball when they are turned away from it. I just threw a pass to Fitzgerald on a crossing route, but I got fooled thinking Woodley was coming on a blitz, but he didn't. I threw the pass and Woodley was running towards Fitz with his back turned and the ball dropped in over Woodley's head and into Fitz's hands.

So nice to see.

Also just a tip if that, but for those that are struggling with pass rush, use the r-stick and L-stick in unison. I'm trying to figure out how to get across what I mean, but I was Berry for the Cards and I got pressure on Ben by pressing the L-stick to the right(towards the line) and then pressing the r-stick up/left diagonally and the l-stick to the left at the same time away from the line and I was doing a pretty sweet swim move to get around the tackle. I only got to Ben once, but I forced him to step up in the pocket a few times and he tucked and ran once do to pressure.

Hope that made sense.
its post like this that makes say "AM I GETTING PUNKED??". im glad u like the running game but i dont see the attraction to it cause the run game IMO is horrible

Yeah, I can't stand that when the cut scene strarts before the play looks like it's even done. Like you said, "Almost like the play is out of my hands so we switch to a different angle."

I also don't like on kick returns, it gives you like 1 second to choose the player you want to control before the kick off starts. Same on FG/XP block.

Agree with this too. D line pressure should be the same for CPU as the human controlled team.

Overall, it's easily the best madden for next gen. Love the graphics and game speed. Can't wait 'til they get a new gameplay and animation engine though.

This video makes me extremley ANGRY. I have posted 600 times in the last 6 months and not one of those posts were bashing EA, the team or anyone else.

Now I have come to realize that it will be YET ANOTHER year until they can try to make a NFL simulation type game. I am sorry but seeing guys like Troy Polomalu NEVER reacting to the ball being thrown is Totally UNACCEPTABLE in the year 2009.

Yeah, I know and I am totally aware this is just a demo, but COME ON, a problem like that is most likely difficult to fix in a patch.

What is up with Offensive linemen Running around in fregin Circles before they get involved with a Pro-Tak gang tackle. That isnt simulation Football??? That shows me that this game wasnt taken Seriously. 90% of the time I cant run to the outside because a blocker/tight end is running around in circles or running right past their assignment.

I will admit I do LOVE alot of new things added in but seeing stuff in the video above makes all those new features mean nothing.

Im 17, going into college and now I am starting to believe I will be a 26 year old father before EA can reach it to Next-Gen. Im sorry if I offended anyone with this post.

That's the dumbest thing I've read today. QB play effects every aspect of the game. Go play NCAA 10 online ; it gets real old real quick. You'll be blitzing your corners all game to defend the roll and chuck(which is gone in Madden 10).

I love the running game. I know some have mentioned issues with it, but I haven't encountered anything in the running game that presents a problem, other than when I don't account for a run blitzer and end up on my backside as soon as I get the ball....lol
