madden 10 is better than madden 09 but isnt better than ALL PRO 2k8 when its comes to gameplay which IMO is the best simulation to date. however i will say madden 10 is the step in the right direction and my words to IAN is dont screw it up cause.

next year has to focus on gameplay, and physics. its need to simulate the NFL
GREAT POST. I agree completely. Now in it s defense I had only played the Gamestop demo. I just tried the Giants/Cowboys 1 mimute demo. There HAS to be a difference in the build they used. The Giants/Cowboys demo seems to have better gameplay and less blocking errors, etc.

I asked Ian if there was a difference in build but it has not been clarified yet. I truly think there is. Let me know if anyone else has noticed this.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

My quick impressions after 1 game with the 5 minute Qtr demo.

I'll never win a fumble fight, I'm behind before I even realize what happened.

Otherwise, I think the game plays very well.. (I played on Pro)

I played as the Cards, I had 200 total yards vs 150 for the Steelers. They won on a field goal as time expired. I do like how they ran the clock down to 2 seconds before calling timeout.

I really hope the graphics were reduced to limit the file size because if this game ends up looking crisp like previous years, I think we might have a winner.

Does anyone know if the controls changed at all or if there are new controls for the ball carrier?

And one thing I dont understand about the RC is that Ian says that you cannot straft in All-Pro and All-Madden, but the dude that posted his video claims its on All-Pro...

Hmm..

I would try and explain it but it's been explained many times so just take a look around you'll find the answer. Coach/Owner mode.....

It seems to me that the Devs HAVE done a GREAT job on the game, but dag -- Annooottthhheeerrr year of RC'ing? **Ughh**...

I guess it just makes me frustrated because the overall makeup of the game is legitimately GREAT and a total step up from last year. But the one mode that has plagued the Online community for years is back for another year!

Oh well, I've rambled long enough..theres always next year...

**((But dont get me wrong, I appreciate all the effort that has been put in the game this year and see the AMAZING strides...and I'm still purchasing the game, and I realize not everyones wishes will be come true during the production of the game...))

So I'll take the RCing with a grain of salt, try to prepare as much as possible for it (because I mainly play online), and just hope next year something gets done about it...
I think you're jumping the gun on RC'ing.

When people can do it on All-Pro (online's default setting) and can show it to me reliably, we'll jump on addressing it. That hasn't been shown. We addressed this at the root - with better locomotion and momentum. It is much harder to stop on a dime now, especially on All-Pro/All-Madden.

You don't think the graphics look crisp? Are you playing on a HD TV... they look sharp to me. Some of the same quirky EA animations (but improved from 09) but graphically this game is A+

100% agreed. I just saw your post after I posted mine.

The graphics in that Giants vs. Cowboys night game in the snow look amazing (especially the helmets) I have no issues whatsoever with the graphics, as they look really good. EA could focus on gameplay (and presentation) for another year and not touch graphics and I wouldn't complain (I do hope the fields get chewed up though).

Before I talk about the demo..I must say I hate 09. Least fun game I've ever played just flat out sucked. Then I played the demo today and was absolutely shocked at how fun, how good, how realistic, this game was.

Number 1 the Signature styles of the QBs of Romo and Manning (didnt preorder) were sweet and the forced dropbacks made me stay in the pocket 80% of the time which is realistic. The accuracy of passes are now awesome. Passes hit the turf not being touched. Passes are thrown short, overthrown and thrown to the side. And throws on the run can only be completed for short passes. A 30 yard bomb on the run has no chance which is once again realistic. Also there were high and low snaps for Romo which I see every sunday.

Number 2 The weather and injuries affected the game!! Barber hurt his hamstring and he held his hamstring while he ran. He ran routes while holding his hamstring and he ran for a TD while holding his hamstring. In the blizzard, Crayton slipped on the ground right when was about to get open for a TD. Made me mad but amazingly realistic.

Number 3 The presentation (Not the announcers, but the cutscenes) were highly entertaining. Hixon caught a TD in the back of the end zone. And in a dramatic cut scene the ref waived it off. My kicker warmed up as the Cowboys drove for the game winning drive. Players trash talked when they had a big hit on a reciever or celebrated once they got a tackle in the backfield. The crowd was hilarious too as they yelled stuff like my grandmother could of caught that as a reciever drops the ball. Plus I think I heard some swears from the crowd (not sure though) which were hilarious.

Number 4 The slowed down version is good. May not be as fast as the pros but it lets you see what they see. You know have time to see the pocket collapse before its too late. You can see wide recievers break open and holes develop. I may make it a little faster but love the Idea.

All in All, I am definetly buying this game. Plus for next year, add an ESPN presentation with Collinsworth and NOT HAMMOND and it will easily surpass 2k5 presentation and people will forget about 2k5's existence
