No, it's far from terrible. As a matter of fact this is probably the best Madden since Madden 06 on the Xbox for me. It's just not a big step forward in the gameplay department. Presentation is much improved as there are stat overlays after just about every play. But at the end of the day, gameplay is still what keeps you playing games and I don't see a lot of difference between this year and last year.

Oh and the button mashing to recover a fumble is a joke. Worst idea ever. I guess I'll lose every fumble online because some 14 year old kid can mash buttons faster than me.

There are major improvements in terms of presentation and minimal improvements in gameplay.

The demo is very good, IMO. The slower gameplay is great and more realistic. The graphics have been upgraded noticeably, and I love the PRO-TAK. Passing seems a little slow but its not that bad. Running is good. Probably going to buy this. Great game!

You gotta be a real ea ***** to think there are minimal changes to gameplay

I have seen tons of new and improved line blocking and new and much improved run game

Not to mention the sweet passing game where it matters the way you set to throw the ball

This is a big step up in gameplay if you are a madden fan

If you are a madden ***** then no need to play it because you just want a new game and nothing can please you

I have played both the public and extended versions. The game is looking awesome. The details and presentation are outstanding...

The public version appears to move quicker in terms of player speed but the extended version, even with an accelerated clock, allows the player to get into a flow....

This game secretes football...I have played every version of Madden that has ever been released and this, by far, is the best. Huge leap over last year....

It's great to see that they fixed that horrible glitch where the ball was on the QBs wrist when he throws.

That pass actually looked like an Eli Manning pass from the beginning to the end! I just might have to upgrade Madden 10 from a rental to buy....maybe
