That is what my local Gamestop guy just told me. They received an email that we'd be able to use the codes to play the demo on the 23rd.

You still get a demo a week before people who didn't preorder and you get an extended demo. It had been pretty welll known that the cards would be before the demo was released (like with Fight Night).

Most likely. Just like airlines will give you bigger discounts the further in advance you book your flight. Pre-orders, booking in advance, etc helps businesses run more efficiently.
